contraceptive pill advice

#1
Me and OH have been TTC#2 for 2months, but got engaged on Friday and have decided it would be better to put baby making on hold until we're married in a year or so... (or it could end up being very badly timed!)

I haven't been on the pill for 3years, and when I was I was taking Ovranette (?). OH says it made me grumpy. Charming lol. So I was wondering if there are any other types I should stay away from? Any types better than others?? :) any advice appreciated.

I use MicraGynon30 and would not change for the world.. have tried others and always had reactions.. but this one i have had no probs... If you have had probs b4 tho .. talk to ur doctor maybe about an implant or other contraception :)
Good luck :)

Best to discuss plans with your GP - they can advise what is best for you - and if you want to concieve after the wedding it might be best to use Condoms instead - lovely i know, but might be best idea?! Or an implant??? xxx

Implants can be a pain in the backside - I've had one for 18 months now and while it is good in that I can't get pregnant, recently my periods have been all over the place.

I'm now also taking a 3-month course of the pill Mercilon to try and regulate my cycle. I was on the injection before this but came off to get the hormones out of my body (we're hopefully TTC'ing in a couple of years).

Not saying it would happen to you, but there are side effects.

Meh, thanks ladies, think we'll have to just stick to condoms, fun! Don't think I can be doing with all that pill taking business again, and I don't fancy any implants etc!! xx
