Core or Points????

I've decided to try WW Core but have failed with it previously because of portion control. I'm going to plan my meals a day in advance and hopefully stick with the schedule.

I was just wondering if anyone else is doing Core and if so what they think. Otherwise, why did you choose points rather than core?


PS: I'm gonna start a diary on the diary forum so hopefully, if I'm loosing the plot you can advise me.

I am on points.
I seem to stick to eating the same things all the time on core, and as starlight says the portion control or lack of, is to temping for me too.
I like the flexibility of points and can literally have most things. Although healthy choices usually mean more food.lol
I'm starting today so I'll let you know how I go. I think this time because I'm aware that portion control was my problem that I should hopefully be able to counteract it. I'm sticking with it for the week to see how I go. Just off to make no point soup and SF jelly. Will need to go shopping later to get some basic stuff for core.

Good luck starting core, minime. I think it's a fantastic plan if you have trouble with "trigger" foods such as toast etc. because they're limited to your 21 points per week.

I personally don't think that portion control is a problem with the core plan as there are no portions but I had difficulty recognising the hunger and satisfaction signals. The beauty of the core plan was that if you were having a hungry day, you could eat as much of the "free" foods as you wanted at mealtimes. Coming up to TOTM you couldn't satify me.

I would love to try core BUT I have no idea when I am full until I am stuffed (does that make sense??) I am gonna do 6 weeks of poibts to get a bit of weight off first and then Im gonna give core a try just for a week and see how it goes!

Hey guys, thanks for popping in. I've had a fairly good core day but think I still need to sort out the head stuff. Not at all hungry, had lovely food all day but still want to eat something, so I've took refuge in my bedroom to keep away from the kitchen. I've also updated my food diary for today. Just hope I can keep updating, as I always forget I've got a diary, but I'll do my best.

I'm starting as from today as I had a bit of a set back at the weekend... i'm doing it on my own from home and decided to go for the points option... I was actually quite surprised on how my portion sizes are compaired to the examples in the points book... Seeing how much pasta is 2 points as my portions are a lot more than that.
