Cruise: Lausanne is losing it!

So popped into a pharmacy here in Switz. and they had one of those balance scales that you sometimes see at the doctors or on TV.

I had never used one before but the lady there helped me - and I weighed 73kgs! Yippee, 161lbs - 11 and a half stone!!! I'm delighted with that and so motivated now to get into the 10 stones! (Now here's hoping the scales were accurate! :p)

I love the idea of including your favourite workout song of the day! As I follow mostly exercise DVDs, I don't get much of a choice of soundtrack.

You've now inspired me to do some hooping to my favourite tracks. :)

So had a couple of wobbly days there and I know it's the post ovulation hormone change that's to blame. Perhaps I should have posted here but weirdly felt guilty and afraid that I would be seen as a failure after less than a month on Dukan.
I was also thinking like a silly beggar because I just want all the weight gone instantly and yes the sane part of me knows that it didn't go on overnight and will take at least 5 months to reach DD true weight.

Every cycle I suffer from a bloated tummy straight after ovulation right up to TOTM starts and in the last few days I just felt disgusted with my reflection and self conscious that everyone would be judging me as a greedy mare. I'm hoping that the longer I'm on Dukan and eating less carbs the bloating might diminish.

A long way to go with the food issues - a shrink would have a field day with me ( or at least a healthy bank balance :p)

I'm proud to say though that I stayed the course and whilst there was a lot of sugar free gum chewed, I didn't stray from Dukan foods. I upped the pure protein yesterday and allowed myself to wallow and woke up today in a much better frame of mind.

I guess this is one of the hairpin bends Atropos was talking about! :) Xx
 
Absolutely, hormones can be a real B*tch when on a diet.
And the water retention weight gain can make us doubly despondent.

and unfortunately I can be a real b*tch when PMSing, as my poor long suffering hubby can testify! I got some great suggestions from other posters and will have a plan to help stay on course food wise - yogurt cake and Dukan cheesecake will be on standby! :) Xx

S: 180g 0% prune yogurt (1 tolerated -best choice available :eek:)

Beautiful sunny day here and I'm off to St. Gallen. Eight hours round trip on a train but have Ipod and good book packed so shouldn't be too bad. One thing to praise here - the Swiss transport system is top notch.

PV day as well which is handy for a long day trip - grabbing a salad from the supermarket is the cheaper eating option for lunch.

The herb crust I made to top my cod last night was so delish will have it again this eve. 2tbsp oatbram mixed with parsley, chives, a little bit of shallot, black pepper, 1/2 tsp mustard and an egg white. Allow to stand for 5 mins so oats absorb liquid and bulk up then spread across top of cod. Bake at 220C for 20-25 mins. Crust went crispy and fish was flaky. Yum yum! The same might work to make little savoury oat biscuits - must experiment at home.

Ooohh I'm going to try that, I'm not a fish lover but that sounds lovely
