    Anyone know if cycling is a better form of exercise than walking?

    Cycling burns more calories for sure;) I think the ideal is variety, so you can alternate walks and cycling in case you enjoy both.

    I try to end each workout with 10 mins on the exercise bike... For that reason x

    Cycling CAN be a harder workout. It depends how fast/gradient you walk (power walking burns more cals than running at the same speed apparently as it actually takes more effort not to break in to a run) and how fast/incline/gear you cycle!

    Really?? Good to know as I really really hate running!! But I would happily power walk my way thru the dreaded treadmill time!!

    Cycling can be a great work out as long as you don't just set ur resistance to 1 and pedal gently away watching the gym TV (which is a pity really!! ) lol

    I love my bike! I can't ever go too far (7 miles last time) but it definitely gets your heart rate up more than walking and is better for toning your legs i should imagine :)
