Yea you have to don't you.. To stop them getting jealous..Our dog was an angel with our kids too. We just made sure everyone fussed her as normal before going to the babies. Similar tactic that we used when my nephew was around. They greeted him first as we didn't want him feeling pushed out x
Aww sounds like they had a great relationship, have to do what suits you in the end I think.

My parents had a dog (think it was my Granny's but they took him over for her) when they had their first baby and he was SO protective of the baby that if anyone he (Think it was a he) didn't know tried to get near her in the buggy he'd go mad.. Never bit anyone but would be barking n going on a mad one.. He used to sleep at the end of her cot (on the floor, not in it with her lol) and the night she died alerted my parents.. Then when she was gone he wouldn't come back to the house...
Ah they did... The dog died when Nicole (my neice) was about 12... She was heartbroken..![]()
Yea my Mam wouldn't allow my Dad another dog then til she was finished having babies because as harmless as that dog was to the baby she could see the jealousy in it and was afraid..Aw both such sad stories, dogs are great companions.Id be lost without mine!
Aww.. i thought this read as "the workman is here and he is fit!" Disappointed.com.. lolWorkman is here so will hopefully be able to fit some exercise in this morning :0)

Atomic pink said:Awwww, so many cute dog pictures. Lola is absolutely gorgeous. Please give her a big cuddle, Daisy and tell her its from "auntie Janine". I miss having a dog and someone messaged me yesterday to say there are samoyeds puppies being advertised on gumtree at the moment. Awwwwww. I do enjoy having the freedom to go out for the day or go away for the weekend now though which just wasn't practical when we had the dog. Sure we will get another one in the future as I have always had a dog, but in the mean time its a good job my cats are so awesome. I reckon our male cat thinks he is a dog anyway, he's almost big enough.
This is Spike out male cat: <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=55346"/>. He is the prozac cat as he never ever stops purring.
And this is Silly, our little madame of a female cat. With her toy cyclops. <img src="http://www.minimins.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=55347"/>

Atomic pink said:Thanks. I think they are cute. The cats have a cat flap so can come and go as they please but Silly rarely moves from the windowsill or sofa and Spike is a bit more sensible so I trust him not to get up to mischief. Don't think he goes that far either really as whenever you go outside and call him he comes back, we always joked that our cats had better recall than most dogs. Used to worry about them when they were out but we have had them for 8 years now so stress alot less.
