Diary of a menopausal Yorkshire lass...

Day One...

Monday 5th August - Green Day

A - Milk
A -

B - Oats
B - Chicken

Breakfast - Oats and Yoghurt

Lunch - JP and beans (put a bad bit of potato in my mouth eww!)

Dinner - Chips and cajun chicken (8 syns and not very nice) peas and carrots

Snacks - werthers sugar free x 2 (1)

Syns - 9

A good day sw wise, but not the tastiest!

Back to the syns I always have all my syns, but I have 105 per week, just because it fits in with my Saturday night wine & chocolates, but I do always count them & try not too guess syn values. Sometimes on a Saturday night I can have 40 syns & even though it's hard to admit I've had that many I do, otherwise I'm only fooling myself.
 
Mandy a 10 day event sounds good. Start tomorrow???? I'm also thinking of trying red and green days. Find EE good but debating whether I could lose more on red and green. Will give it some thought
 
I'm up for that but am away camping at the weekend weather pemiting lol but it will do me good to be as good as I can good luck all Xx
 
Be as good as you can Lesley. Try to do what Moira advised me and make your meals out of mainly free stuff and use your syns for treats.
Other that that, enjoy your camping trip - you only live once :D
I'm lousy at advice lol!!
Come on Ladies we can manage 10 days surely?
 
Day 2

Tuesday 6th August - Green Day

Don't know what is wrong with me today, but I'm in a right old grump.
It's either wrong side of the bed syndrome or raging hormones.
Woe betide anyone who crosses my path until the black cloud lifts....GRRRR....:mad:

On a happier note, I'm forcing myself on the scales everyday at the mo to keep myself motivated, and I was back under 11 this morning! I know it'll fluctuate and I won't throw a hissy fit if it does, but the threat of a daily weigh in might just keep me on track. I'm only going to take proper notice of my Wednesday ones.

A - Milk

Lunch - JP (hopefully not another bad one) and beans

Dinner - Pasta bake (7.5) and salad

So I am up a bit, but at least I'm in the 10's - by the skin of my teeth!
I'm going to have a good week, I'm determined.
I will not let my Mum stress me out this afternoon...
I will not drink wine to calm down when I get home...

Wednesday 7th August - Green Day

A - milk
A - Cheese
B - Oats
B - Mince

Breakfast - Porridge

Lunch - out with Mum - Pasta arrabiatta, with a HUGE piece of AMAZING garlic bread :( had 2 bites...guesstimate 4?

Dinner - Moira's taco chips. OMG! You weren't telling fibs - super yum. Calling 2 for actifry oil and mince is heb

Snacks - half bottle of wine with soda (12) :rolleyes:

So if I dont have owt else (will update if I do)

Syns - 18/105

Hi Mandy, well I've stayed on plan for 2 days (8 to go) and at my WI this morning, I have sts. Expected this, or, to be honest, a gain after a very sociable weekend. Nothing planned now until a week tomorrow so am determined to say on plan and achieve our 10 day challenge. I am using most of my syns each day and am still doing EE. Thought about reverting to Green/Red but can't get my head round it at moment.

DAY 1
Breakfast -
0% yoghurt, kiwi fruit and banana
Lunch - Cheese (HEA), wholemeal bread (HEB), apple
Dinner - new potatoes, gammon, egg, tomatoes, fresh fruit salad
Syns - brown sauce (1), pineau, crisps (9) Total 10


Day 2
Breakfast
- 1/2 grapefruit, boiled egg
Lunch - wholemeal bread (HEB), cheese (HEA), sliced tomatoes, apple and grapes
Dinner - large mixed salad, ham, boiled egg, SW sweet potato chipd
Syns - salad cream (1), pineau & nibbles (9) - Total 10
 
Well done on STS, not bad at all after a big weekend. You've got two good days under your belt, keep up the good work for another 8 days and you should lose a bit at your next wi!
 
Day 4

Thursday 8th August - Green Day

I didn't get weighed this morning, but decided to measure my waist instead - 36" :eek: isn't the healthy range supposed to be under 32"?
I MUST stick to it this time.
I've nothing much planned today other than work and going to the dentist for a check up and polish. I was going to bunk off work early and join a new group, but as I'm already nipping out to the dentist, then finishing early tomorrow to take number 1 puss cat to his cardiologist, I decided there is only so much bunking off a girl can do in one week!
I hope my dentist doesn't find anything...

Lunch - JP and beans

Dinner - Rice, 5 bean chilli and cheese

Snacks - Wine (12) half an options mixed into quark (1) blurgh!

Just thought - can my juice be my other heb?
Yaaay! Got a clean bill of health from the dentist and now have shiny white teeth :D

Thanks Michelle, that saves me checking when I get home. You'd think it would be when tinned fruit is a heb on green. Never mind, I enjoy it and it's good for me :)
