Different stages of Ketosis??

Sorry! Can`t sleep so am spamming the board :p

I just wondered what the different stages of Ketosis were and which is important in LT diet?

When I went for my weigh in on Monday, I bought some ketostix and when I checked I was in the 2nd to last stage of Ketosis (very dark stick).

I have just checked again just now and it was showing in the "trace" stage by the colour.

I have been STARVING all day today so am wondering if it`s because I`m hardly in Ketosis?

Also, I am wondering what I could be doing wrong for it to change?

I haven`t cheated once since starting my diet, So can`t understand what would change??

If you are following the Lipotrim diet to the letter then you are in ketosis, the only way you will come back out of it is if you eat carbs.

Some people only ever show a slight change in the colour...

If it showed purple it is probably that you were not drinking enough water. In some people showing purple all the time can be an indication of diabetes and needs to be checked out.

If you are feeling hungry today I just wonder what you did different like change the times you have had your shakes or not drank your water throughout the day.

Routine is important and making sure you are drinking enough water and having your three packs a day.

I`m following the diet 100% so no carbs.

I don`t think I had enough water today :( So maybe that`s it.

I have also upped my exercise again (didn`t do any first week incase I keeled over lol) Dunno if that makes a diff?

I think you are meant to be careful about the amount of cardio exercise you do, as doing too much can cause you to use up too many calories and send you into 'starvation mode' which can affect weight loss. That is my belief anyway. I just do as much walking as i can and am trying to introduce some toning exercises too.

I don't know how much is too much I'm afraid.

I've never used the ketostix - just be confident that if you're sticking 100% to the shakes and having more than 2 litres of water a day then after 5 days of that you WILL be in ketosis and you WILL be losing weight.

Any questions about the ketostix/ketosis, your pharmacist will be able to advise - or ring LT themselves.

Maybe I should leave the cross trainer and rowing machine for a bit then? I usually put the xtrainer on the "fat burner" level and do 5-10 minutes.

I was worried about starvation mode but @ pharmacy Monday she said it was a myth :confused:

I`d like to get out cycling again and swimming, Maybe they would be better?

I`m def sticking to it 100% and drinking usually about 3L.

Do you know how many pints I`d need to drink for 3-4L? I`m wondering if I had a pint every hour or something it would be better as i`ve been drinking it in bursts of lots and think that was wrong =/
