Just sat and worked out how many old points I would have been having today and it worked out to 19 old points and 27 pro points with additional fruit. I always used to lose weight if I kept within the old points so I don't think I'm going to use my weekly allowance this week, might have a treat on weigh in day and then stick to my 29 a day. It wasn't feeling like a diet when I was using more points was never hungry as I'd always just say ah I'll take them out of my weeklys! I think I need to feel hungry at times so that my body learns that I don't need to eat as much.

Don't forget that you can't really compare points from old to new, as its based on completely different information (kcals & sat fat on the old, protein, carbs, fat as a whole and fibre on new).

The points of food on the new system tends to be higher so it will pretty much work out as the same. For example nutrigrain bars - they were 2 points, and they are now 4pp. The 49 pp don't actually go THAT far, 49pp per week equates to only 7 a day.

Just eat, point and enjoy :)

I do personally think the Discover system was quite strict, in ways this is good because its very hard to cheat.. and if you followed it to a T you nearly always lost. With pp there are more free foods, and its more about eating until you are full rather than eating to fill your points quota.
