DOING SW FROM HOME???

that's true, I forgot about the 'heat.' I typical year where I spent my years is from -32 to + 30C or so so a good 60C difference. I was lucky to spend a few years in China and summer there is actually hot, + 48C. I will say once it hits body temperature you don't feel the difference from 38C to 48C!

This the fun about living in the British Isles! Are you Canadian living here or were you British living there?

Do not forget about floods - up to recently we have always had rain but nothing that bad but now we have hot summers, snowy winters and floods in between. Mind you weather in most part of the world has changed in the past decade or so.

I'm Scottish, to a English Father and Canadian mother so I have dual citizenship and come and go between countries as I please. Quite fun actually.

Ah yes didn't think of that!! I always think of it as part of my meal so it has to be salad/veggies, but as long as I eat it right before it'll be fine wont it? I'm thinking of putting mushroom and onion in it as well as the tinned tomatoes but ill have fruit aswell just incase!

Yeah, it'll definitely be fine - the whole point of superfree is to make sure that you're not just filling up on free foods, so as long as the fruit/whatever you're eating seperately is eaten before the meal, that's fine :) The worry otherwise would be that you'd get to the end of the meal with this fruit to eat and you're too stuffed!! Hope you enjoy the curry :)

Hey Girls!
Had a good day so far...poached egg on w/meal toast with mushrooms, cherry toms and chopped toms for late breakfast then for lunch I had leftover chilli from last night in a jacket potato. Then just had scouse (Liverpool version of stew!) with red cabbage for tea! Mmm! Going the pics tonight tho and think me and the Boyf will share a hot fudge sundae so i be using quite a lot of syns for that but not had any today x

I'm having boiled baby potatoes and corn on the cob as part of my dinner this evening but I usually have both of these drowned in butter :-/
Any tips on how to make it less dry as obviously I won't be having the butter :(

I found that I wasn't missing the butter per say, but the salt from the butter. I usually don't add salt to anything, but anything that usually requires butter I usually just add a half grind of salt. Maybe that is what you are missing?

No it's def the butter! I put salt on everything too (I no, very naughty!) so ill have that anyway but I just think its going to be very dry with no butter!

Thank you! Haven't got round to making anything yet as had a late lunch and now all I feel like doing is snacking on naughty stuff! :D hubby isn't feeling too great either so he doesn't want a meal I don't think! Ah well! Will see what happens!

Hello I'm new on here and have only been doing slimming world at home since Monday (although I did it before after having my first baby about 5 yrs ago). I'll be weighing myslef on Monday morning, and although I have done really well with the plan this week I am dreading the weekend as I have a few 'family things' that usually involve food and alcohol and the inevitable questions about why I'm not consuming them etc! How do you refuse without offending....any tips?

Tracy Mo welcome. What you can do is have a little bit of what is on offer to you not to offend your host and if you are questioned about it just tell the truth - hopefully they understand. Good luck

Hello Tracy Mo, i agree. If you just come clean about trying to loose weight it will also avoid situations in the future and i'm sure they'll understand :)

I just put salt on now too, after a couple of times you won't miss the butter at all, if you eat it as hot as possible too I find it seems juicier. If it's very fresh you could try eating it raw, sounds yuk I know but actually it's really lush

I had some granola bar a couple of days ago and could actually taste the butter in it as it has been so long since I've had the stuff

Hi and welcome Tracey Mo hugs xx

You could pile your plate with SW friendly foods and a couple of things you don't actually like to make your plate seem fuller to everyone else...

Best thing is don't stress about things

Hey all, crumbs busy day!

This is our snowman built first thing this morning when we realised no school!!

GrannieAnnie, hope your mum is ok, I've had a keen eye on my 94 yr neighbour who thankfully has someone staying, but she's well known for throwing caution to the wind whatever the conditions!!

I'm having a slightly flexible wine style Friday... But aside from the wine, all on track :) sw roasts with veg and hexb salmon coming up :)
