Did I read that potato cakes are really half a syn? Howhowhow? I want some xx

Ps well done on all the loses this week, no matter if its 1lb or 10lbs a loss is a loss in the right direction.
 
Good girl ;-) i had a similar thing when i first met my husbands family. Because i'm a vegetarian it used to make meal times kinda awkward and his mum used to treat me as if i was just being fussy! It took a while but eventually they got the message and stopped trying to make me eat meat, lol.
Oh my goodness!! That's even worse! Yes it's my in-laws too. As soon as i say i'm watching my weight I seem to have double helpings put on my plate and then "don't you like it?" etc when i don't finish it. They seem to think I'm starving myself...ridiculous on this plan- I'm eating more than ever...it's just healthy that's all! x
 
Ah Jen I know exactly how u feel about demotivation and your weight, I think it's just as we've been dieting for ages now, we've been at it a year and it does get tiresome being so conscious of everything you eat. I think even more so when you have little ones to sort out and busy jobs. I think that's my problem over the summer I was all guns blazing as I was off Uni and the boys were at school, now life's hectic again I just can't be bothered. Well couldn't, feeling a bit better now about it. You have done amazingly already, and I'm also the same period wise, I was on cerazette and had nothing for 7 months which was great, but then all of a sudden the worst bleeding ever, non stop, then pretty much 3 a month until I came off the pill, I cycle tracking now which obviously has its risks but I feel much better and the bleeding is slowly getting more regular and back into a proper cycle, I do know when I was bleeding so much I felt very down, really emotional and all over the place. It really does have a big effect when it's all off whack.

Anyway.. Sorry for the ramble, hope you feel better and are warm!

Had a LUSH dinner, super addicted to Asian curries at the mo, had massaman tonight with chicken, prawns and 'fried' brown rice, was mega!!

The curry sounds yum Charl - is it your own recipe?x I may have to go and invest in some brown rice and pasta so I can go more red days… you have to cook forever though?!
 
Jen & Charl, sorry to hear about your totm problems. I had that as a teenager back in the 70`s. I thoght that medical advances had made it less likely. I was 14 at the time and fainting all the time due to being annemic. Doc eventually put me on ovranette (don`t even know if that`s still available) and that sorted it out. Hope things are sorted out for you soon.

Grannie - I'm not sure to be honest! Think it's just a name that's stuck over the years in Liverpool so we always call it scouse instead of stew!
We've had snow here and now the roads are quite icy. Ice heard it's gunna snow again on Monday so we'll see! X

I've done something terrible!!!!!! I ate 102 syns last night!! YES ONE HUNDRED AND TWO!!!!! I can't believe ive eaten a whole weeks syns in one night! Was in such a craving type of mood, hubby decided to "treat" us to a mcdonalds :eek: I could of said no but i didn't and i got a LARGE 6 chicken nugget meal with diet coke (only good bit i think!) AND a double cheeseburger! THEN i went on to eat chocolate and crisps without weighin anything! Ive just worked it all out and its came out at 102! So gutted and ashamed of myself! :cry:Today is a fresh week though so im going to have no syns this week!!!!! Im so angry with myself though!!! :mad: It tasted nice at the time but really there wasnt loads there for the amount of syns it was! ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! why did i do itttttttttt!!!!! :break_diet:
 
Brislington - small world indeed! Nobody from Kingswood made it into work today so I'm guessing it was pretty bad there!

My best friend lives in brislington :) Yea, kingswood has been pretty hard hit with the snow. Just annoyed that even with severe weather warnings in place for 2 days, they didn't grit any roads near us at all, even the ring road, stupid!

Just had 2 LM Rosemary & Red Onion Sausages, 1 w/meal toast (800g loaf), poached egg, mushrooms n tomatoes...delish!! X
 
Asda or Tesco have offers on all the time Hun 2 for £3 etc so look out for them but if the WW thin sausages are only 1/2 a syn I think I'd rather have them if I had any in as the others are ok but couldn't eat them all the time! The LM 1/4 Mozarella Burgers are lovely tho for 4 syns! And the Lamb Style Strips are lovely and free! Put them in a hex Pitta with salad...mmm! X

Brown rice does take like half an hour yes, but pastas about the same.. You can't have rice as a hexB on red days though, I'm doing EE for then next week just to see what happens, I just like brown rice and pasta better, it doesn't make me all bloated and yuck like white ones, i just did a good food recipe but tweaked it to make it SW friendly. Thai curries are fine if you leave out the oil and replace have the coconut milk with chicken stock. Yum! I just get my pastes from an Asian supermarket, I love exploring that place, it's huge, so much stuff I have no idea what most of it even is! Haha! Xx

1lb on for me this week, actually quite pleased that it was no more because I've eaten like a pig. Next week I'm back to normal, no more snacking! Think about what I eat and realise that I've still got 25lb to lose to get to my final target!

I have a full day out of the house today and will probably end up taking the kiddies to McDonald's.
Does anyone know if the salad bowls (without the dressing) have to be synd?? If so, how many?
Other than that, what is the "best" thing to get??
 
The grilled chicken and bacon salad is 1.5 syns :) Other than that, best things are the fruit bags, carrot sticks and diet coke etc if you want syn free :)
