DOING SW FROM HOME???

Hey ladies!!

Eeeek! I went rogue yesterday as I was super hung over :( had loads of rubbish foods, tweaks and ate so so late it's screwed my tummy up :(

Then I didn't have time to eat today until 5pm and have piled so much foods down my throat I'm now so so soooo bloated! Stuck to plan though, only had 4 syns and just going to reduce them for the rest of the week to make it up. I think I only need to syn a pitta, some garlic sauce and a bagel to make back up. So think I already made up my bagel today, which is good. Not looking great for WI Friday, but at least I have 4 days to make it back up. Might WI on Saturday to give myself the extra day back I lost. Damn drinking!

Oh well, hope you all had a good weekend??

Mmm, heard lots about the salt & pepper chicken - I must dig out that recipe!

I made a really yummy Cottage pie for dinner - on RED today. I made carrot and swede mash to top mine with a HEXA cheese - was super yum, then did the kids separate ones in ramekins with last nights left over mashed potato. Sorted!

Having now browsed the SW mag, I have plans this week now for Beef & Red Wine Casserole, Chicken Curry & Rice and a Cheesy tuna & pasta bake. All planned and shopped before 10am this morning! Not sure what to have tomorrow night as I would really like another RED day pre WI on Wed - got the Rainbows run too so always a bit of a rush.

Ooh, and I have also made the tomato soup out of the SW booklet from this months mag - I usually make up my soups and ping together the veg I have in the fridge, but this tomato one is really nice……. its just lacking hunks of crusty bread and real butter……! Well if WI on Wed id ok, I might treat myself to a small crusty wholemeal roll and some real butter with it!

Hope everyone has had a lovely dayx

I had the cheesy tuna and pasta bake today. I've been a veggie for 18 yrs but say twice a yr I have a wee bit of tuna. It was very nice! I added ground herbs to the cheese topping and it was pretty yummy.........filling too :)

I lost 1.6lbs at my WI today so very happy with that considering earlier in the week I scoffed a whole packet of rum truffles, a pint of lager and some christmas pud and custard my OH cooked. just another lb to go and i will have lost the weight i gained over Christmas. Stupid isn't it...it goes onto your body in a matter of days then takes weeks to shift it again!

here's the cheesy tuna and pasta bake

Oh God haha! It can't be that bad if 25g is only 5.5 syns, can it?! I might just guesstimate at 20 syns or so? Or a bit more, do you think?

Small Odeon, approx 100g 396 cal
The salted was marginally better! So if you go for small 20 would be about right :) then stick some grapes in your handbag!x

at the odeon a small sweet popcorn is 97g so works out around 22 syns if its 5.5 syns for 25g

Ah brilliant, thank you! And thanks everyone else for your help :) a lot of syns for a small popcorn, but I have around 35 to play with tomorrow cause I've saved some over the past few days :)

The weight watchers programme was very interesting and basically confirmed everything I've ever thought about that diet, what a scam!

Haha thanks, grapes in my handbag was exactly what I did when I went on Sunday! Defo want to let my Nannie treat me to some popcorn though - and it is a three hour long film over lunch time haha!

i think I'm gonna get on ok with sw... and the best thing is it's encouraging me to cook, which i love! instead of dragging something out of the freezer after long tiring day at Work, did sw salt and pepper chicken, sw chips d heaps of veg fried in frylight...lovely!

so agree with the cooking thing! I used to live on convenience food, I totally hated the kitchen I had when I lived in Shropshire, tiny and always dark. You had to have the light on even in summer. In the whole of the 15 yrs I lived there I barely cooked proper food, living off convenience food and pure rubbish! Now I'm in a different house temporarily till we sell the other. This house has a bigger kitchen and is south facing, it's made such a difference to me, I actually ENJOY being in it and have started cooking properly again now thanks to SW :).

Ooh that looks yum Raven! I might do that tomorrow actually as I can prep in the day so will be ready pre Rainbows..

Well DONE for your loss!! It really is frustrating how long it takes to get off something that was so quick to pile on! The thing is though, even though you had a blip, you've not given up and drawn a line, so if you have the willpower to do that, you will gradually see the results :)

It'll be on Channel 4 plus 1 in half an hour, but the gist of it was that the products are overpriced, the consultants are nothing more than sales reps, and most people don't keep the weight off

You'll have to eat one piece every few mins to make it last ;-) you might need more than grapes if its lunch time then... Flask of soup? Ha ha!
Totally nice to let Nannie treat you!!

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind me crashing in!! I have started doing sw from home today, and stumbled across this board, would be great to have some help and know i'm on the right track... so far this plan seems too good to be true... so far today I have had a banana for brekkie, low fat super noodles with prawns and peppers for lunch, a bacon sarnie mid afternoon \(using 2 slice of nimble bread - H Ex B) and 1 tbsp brown sauce for 1 syn, and home made chilli (bulked out with veg to get 1/3 superfree) with rice and chips and a mullerlight. Plus an Otion hot choc for 2 syns... Am I doing this right and can i really lose weight eating like this?!!!

thank you
xx

Hello and welcome :). Don't forget you are allowed 2 Hex b's and 1 or 2 Hex a's plus 5 to 15 syns tho a lot of people try to have 10. Yes, I don't know how it all works it just does!

great.... some of the recipes look too good to be really quite easy to do once you get started x

Incidently, having lost 1/2 stone now, how do I add a badge to my signature? I had a look a few days ago at the different badges and didn't understand the different ones.

Been so busy today, only just had dinner. Did the lamb korma from the Jan?Feb edition of the se mag.
Haven`t used a recipe from the mag before and it was really nice!
I`ll be using the recipes again!
