Donnajt's 2012 Diary...yes I'm back!

Loundy - I would say the exercise has def helped - the 5 min (programme has 5, 7.5 or 10 min workouts) are great and you can fit them in really easily, i have trebled the amount of fluid I drink and replaced 75% of my fluid intake with water and lemon, so many 1-2 cups of tea a day and a glass of fizz as a treat and smaller carb portions - I've had very little pasta in the last 2 weeks

Good on you girl! You should be so proud of yourself.
I was just reading that thread about the lemon juice coincidentally, do you think lemon squash would work or is it best to have fresh lemon do you think?

Xx

3lbs O F F ! ! ! !

I am only 7 away from my Club 10

Awesome loss Donna - you have been working so hard to get this so I'm totally thrilled for you.

How's everything else going? Congratulations on your pay rise too. I think I must try swapping out all drinks for lemon and water - I'm not sure I can do it completely though, so I'm impressed with you. Your losses have been greatly deserved. Fantastic :D :D

That chicken satay looks gorgeous Donna xxx

I tweaked the sticky orange pork recipe from this month's mag by using turkey (lol) and broccoli instead of spinach - highly recommended.

Hey Donna, how was your jubilee weekend? Did you enjoy yourselves? X

Hi Ladies - sorry for going AWOL - had a really odd week, felt out of sorts for a few days - then went to BBQ on Bank Holiday Monday and cheated - not badly but I cheated...so I ate beans on toast for breakfast ...got to my Brother/Sis in law's for Jubilee BBQ and had the biggest plate of salad with lemon juice and vinegar...angelic...then had a burger with mustard and ketchup (no bun...still good) and a sausage (WW one...very good)...oh and 1.5 glasses bucks fizz (but resisted the Pimms and boy did it nearly kill me)...then it went a bit wrong...a small slice of pizza followed by I had a quarter of an egg mayo sandwich...then 2 quarters of tuna sandwich (they were so good don't know how I stopped)...then to top it off Sis in law had made this beautiful union jack lemon cake - so I had the smallest of slices with a very big cup of tea and we left without any doggie bags!!!

Its life and I enjoyed it, unfortunately the blow out caused havoc downstairs and I was constipated for 4 days afterwards, the bread gave me stomach ache...

So I was expecting a gain but managed to lose 1lb - so feeling very lucky and I know how hard I will have to work next week to get a loss

Anyway I will catch up later but kids are home and I am desperate to spend some time with them

lots of love xxxx

Well, Donna, it was hardly a massive blow out, I think you have been very restrained - well done you.

Sorry to hear you are having bunged up issues.... might I suggest a massive bag of peas in their pods, they shot through me like nobody's business! Although with that came really bad wind - not smelly, but long and loud - still causes me hysteria, so all round a good clear out was had together with a bit of a laugh, all for the price of £2!

well done on loss and diary / recipes look great !

Hey Donna, thanks so much for your messages of support!!! I was so touched to read what you said about you and your Mum lighting candles for my Mum!! That kind of thing means so much and as they say in Tesco, every little helps!! Thank you thank you thank you!! The folks are in Portugal at the moment on a river cruise!! After ending up in hospital with plummeting Hb and platelets a couple of weeks ago, she asked if her next chemo could be delayed until she comes back from holiday- after all what's 2 weeks in the grand scheme of things?! Better than cancelling a 5K holiday or being too poorly to enjoy it!! So her next chemo is next Tues the 19th, which is 2 days after they get home!!

Wow, having been out of the loop (slap wrists!!!) for a more or less a month, I see that you're doing fantastically well!! 19 lb in a pretty small amount of time is excellent and your food diaries and photos are really really inspiring!! I'm going to have to take some inspiration from you!! The pics always make my mouth water!!!

Hope to catch up properly soon- I'm in the process of catching up with everyone- it's no small task!!!!

Speak soon and thanks again for the positive vibes and candles!!!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Hey hun, I know you have had a busy old week, just thought I would pop by to wish you luck for your weigh in!

Welcome back honey - I missed you loads! Back to business now, and the thing I need the most in my life - NORMALITY! I always go off plan when my daily life changes. Forget about what happened - it starts now. I will keep all things crossed for a STS or loss for you.

Thanks for the peanut cuzza recipe, what did you think of it? Was it "OH MY GOD why haven't I made this before, it is well worth 4.5 syns"?

BTW - the Honey and Mustard Chicken was absolutely gorgeous, thanks for coming to my assistance on Saturday. I am going to be hosting a bbq on Saturday, housesitting the parents and they have a garden - whoop whoop - and the Honey and Mustard is going to feature on one of the spatchcock chickens I am doing!

xx
