Just a quickie - Mum came home last night, and you wont believe this, the oncologist has decided against treating the cancer at this point, he wants to wait until the secondary cancer is found or Mum gets ill. Dont really know what to say because now we will all be watching her like a hawk and every headache, cough, cold etc we are gonig to be terrified that this is the start of the end....

reminder:

  1. To be fit and healthy for my kids
  2. To make my kids proud of me
  3. To look in mirror and like the reflection
  4. To be fit and forty on April 11th 2011 and to wear my wedding dress
  5. Life is too short to be hiding away
  6. Cos I want to wear trendy clothes not hide away in tents a size too big
  7. To be able to walk into any shop and fit into the clothes not have to buy overpriced plus sizes
  8. Reduce my ironing pile!!!
  9. Confidence - too feel attractive again
  10. To fit into my wedding dress on 11 April 2010 (my 40th birthday)
  11. To feel good about myself, not be filled with self-loathing
Thought I'd bump this up to keep me motivated.

Feel "stuck" at the moment - has anybody else felt like this?

Donna, has he explained why he's decided that? would he be able to speak to you if you rang him? Could put your mind at rest.

i know that that sounds really scary, but the oncologist will have his reasons for 'doing nothing'. it sounds as though, with the recent infection etc, your mum really wouldn't be able handle the drastic affects treatment would put to her body so he wants to hold off until either her body is stronger or she gets worse. i know it's easy to say, but stay strong!

Hi Donna, on the diary front, is a yogurt & banana enough for breakfast?

(((hugs))))

Hi hun. Just popping by to say hello. I've been really slack in keeping my diary up to date but I have been following the plan. Was away last week so didn't get weighed. I think perhaps I might have maintained. Gosh it is so slow coming off me this time round. Keeping you in my thoughts. Stay positive and focus on the good things. xxxxx

Hi Donna,
I'm feeling a bit 'stuck' SW-wise too. Trying to dig some motivation out from somewhere...
Sorry to read the rubbish news about your mum, but remember that at least food is one thing you CAN control and the organisation and planning of sticking to SW might actually help you feel you are managing better with the whole current situation. Big hugs :)

Hey Donna. I'm sure the oncologist has his reasons for taking that route - it is probably for the best at this point in time following your mum's infection - is she feeling better now she's home?
I'm not surprised you're feeling a bit stuck with everything going on!! I had two weeks off-plan following on from being told I was being made redundant... and that's just a job at the end of the day! So
I definitely think you can be forgiven for letting SW take a bit of a back burner while you concentrate on your mum's health. Your mojo will come back to you when you're ready
Big hugs xxx

Just read the news about your Mum. I hope you're all coping ok? I guess we have to trust the specialists and hope that they know best. And they usually do :) It's just so hard waiting and feeling like you're doing nothing, but your Mum is home, she's probably feeling a lot better, and is more comfortable being back in familiar surroundings. Lots of love to you all.xx

Hey lovely lady. Just catching up with your diary since I've not been on here properly in a month. Sorry to hear about your Mum, is she better now she's home? My thoughts are with you, and I hope you're feeling a bit better xxxx
