Gone a bit quiet
Have any of you tried making oat bran blinis instead of the galette or pancake, which for me always breaks up? You make the recipe as he says on the site or in the book but don't add sugar substitute, keep savoury, add about a half teaspoon of baking powder to the dry bran b4 adding the egg, f frais or quark. use the whole egg, and maybe add a bit more milk if you use Quark, so it's like fairly thick cream. Drop big spoonfuls onto a big non stick frypan or griddle if you have one and turn with a palette knife. Amazingly good with ham, roast beef, smoked salmon, prawns. You can mix Greek 0% yogurt with dill and black pepper as a dressing with any of these, or maybe yogurt with wholegrain mustard with beef or ham. Really nice.
