Dukan Do It....

I am a complete crisp-a-holic. Its my biggest failing, i was so proud of myself for throwing them away. Just a waste of money though LOL.

TOTM blues are on the way out, lost 1lb this morning, mind you I was up three times in the night for a wee, got horrid snotty cold and sore throat which doesn't help, I woke with so much swallowing pain but its got better as the day has gone one. If it lasts as long as DD I'll still be snotty next week :(

At school this afternoon for a maths workshop, they are showing parents how the new system works, which doesn't really matter for me cos my DD is above that level, but it will help me in the classroom with the younger ones.

Thankyou sid, yeah these snots are annoying me, and the sore throat, hope these lockets and menthol throat sweets don't make it bad news LOL.

Weds
Breakfast:
Porridge and Yogurt as usual

Lunch:
Smoked Salmon and Quark/FFrais mix
Vol a Vents as per Dukan Cookbook...very nice
2 leaves of lettuce
4 slices of Bresola (finally treated myself to some)

Tea:
Chicken & Ham Keiv parcels
Cauliflower Cheese (LC triangles)

Supper:
Sweet Pancake with rhubarb and Greek Yogurt.

8 drinks = 2ltrs

Plus about 4 cough/throat sweets.
 
Hope you're feeling better soon DNF - Strepsils do a sugar free version, probably wont help your snots much but I found Asda's own decongestant tablets were quite helpful with my sinus, that an the good old olbas stick :) x
 
DNSF menus looking grand to me..... Couple of thoughts though, my understanding is that milk is limited to 250mls in cruise but overall other dairy is up to 1kg??? Is that right? So maybe check your milk intake? Also that some days may be quite high in salt with salmon trimmings, crab sticks, ham??? just a thought - personally I ate ham quite a lot during my main cruise phase with very little affect but just a thought....... Love the menus though they are inventive and scrummy sounding...... Might be interesting though to do a couple of days of PP with just pure proteins - you know the whole chicken, grilled steak baked fish to see if that shifted any weight quicker???? I have actually enjoyed SOME of the pure protein days I have had and food has been tasty too!!!!

Thanks hun, I'll look into it, esp the salt thing. The dairy thing was mentioned on here last week, all to do with how much, I can't find it in my book that says its limited either, so I decided not to worry. Most of my milk is in my porridge and three coffess in the day. Occasinoally the milk pudding, but thats not every day.

Lotto - thanks re meds info, I will have to look into that if I can't get rid of it. Tyrozets are doing ok so far, and capsules with extra paracetamol.

Lost another 3/4lb this morning, I wonder if thats my body rebalancing, or the fact for three nights I haven't had crabsticks for supper LOL.

So close to the next pound now. Not updating stats just yet, am convinced it jinxes me cos I seem to have a bad morning when I update it.....I know thats daft, but my brain won't believe it.
 
Well done on your loss hun :) think the crabsticks probably had something to do with it :) they're quite carby...

I must admit i don't have the crabsticks every single night, but they have been a staple since the start.

Milk pudding is a jelly type thing.

1pt Skim Milk
1 sachet of gelatin
Egg Yolk
Sweetner to taste - usually about 4 tbs
Vanilla or other flavouring.
Cinnamon


Add gelatin to cold milk, mix really well
Warm up milk till nearly boiling
Mix in sweetner to egg yolk
Pour small amounts at a time to egg yolk and mix in.
Put back in pan and heat till boil (only for few secs) then turn down and simmer for 5mins. Stir occasionally.
Put in bowl to set in fridge for a few hours.
Voila, Milk Pudding.

I usually leave it to set overnight, and eat it a third at a time.


Lost 3/4lb this morning. Its def TOTM with possibly the salt issue. Mind you the salt loves me............I made fried eggs with meatballs for lunch, I always grind a tiny bit of salt on my eggs. Well...........the lid came off, half a pot of salt granules all over my egg and tiny bit of meatballs. So annoyed. threw eggs away and started again.


Got ulcers on my tonsils, which is obv why my throat still sore to swallow. Fell asleep this afternoon, when I really needed to get some paperwork done. Hence being on PC now at 12.40 in the morning. Am stopping now and going to bed, can finish it in the morning. Am determined to clear all my paperwork by monday and then concentrate on fair stuff with a bit of christmas thrown in LOL

I'm here Sid, your vibes have reached me over the waves LOL. Its actually been a stressful week or so, I have had a tonne of things to do and the next week is going to be even worse. Once the 9th is over with I can relax a bit and enjoy christmas coming.

I've been following the diet properly too, only one cheat of an ice cream lolly.....thou it has been hard some days. Weight has been so so most days with little losses, though i did have another hiccup earlier in week, having put back all I had lost in that start of the week.........................

but............today........................... 4 STONE

and............ down in to the 13s


and.............officially OVERWEIGHT.....goodbye obese!!!!!!!!!!!

Really chuffed. My parents coming today and they were the once that helped me get on the Dukan train so I can share my news with them on the day it happens.

I'll try to catch up on the forum later on, got to finish breakfast LOL and get ready to take DD dancing.

thank you, I am nearly at another milestone......

Over the years I have done a few diets, the first one I ever did through a class was called Slimmer Clubs UK and it was calorie based. I lost 4st 3lb on that diet before failing and slowly putting it all back on. I am currently at 4st 1.25lb.....another week or so and I will have reached my most ever lost target. Next target beyond the usual half stone marks is to have lost what my daughter weighs. Which is currently 5st 3lb.

Mum and Dad were very pleased too, its lovely to share with someone who knows how hard it is to do the diet. A good day today, another loss of .75lb this morning, though meal times have been a bit hit and miss through out the day we had more visitors today and so I couldn't eat my tea at teatime, it ended up being later, and I could only eat half of it. it means I am having to have a late supper :( oh well, hopefully it won't mean a gain. TOTM again, so am keeping fingers crossed its not a horrid week but I am determined not to get down with this one LOL, what do you bet????
