Hi C just caught up with your week. Well done on the 2lb loss that's fab & nearly 2st too woohooo !! I said earlier I don't think I'll be at my TW when dr d predicted, I think I'm nearer to christmas but what a Christmas & my birthday that will be.

Glad the meds are helping with the pain, hope it stays like that x

Oh well done you on getting your ears done again....I went about 11 years between my two sets. Last October I got a tattoo done. (so did my Mum, Sister and Niece...a family thing)

I got a little Lily on my left shoulder, my fave flower and for my DD. It actually didn't hurt as much as I thought. And its more a gun than a needle. Now don't go imagining bullets LOL, but imagine a childs blowpen holder type thingy.

The outline didn't hurt at all and the ink only hurt a minor bit. they start and stop all the time. Only took about fifteen mins to do it. I want to get some greenery/vines around it next time. I don't want loads, but I do what this one fancying up a bit. LOL.

We went to a place that was newly opened, all clean and sparkly. You can browse catalogues of pictures and once you chose if you only want a part of it they can do that. this one orginall had black scrolls top and bottom....but I didn't want that. The do a transfer of it, so it marks your skin like a black outline (carbon copy) and then they go over it.

Love, love, loving this Collette! What an amazing attitude you have. Nearly 2st is amazing! Also love tales of your earrings. Think you should go for a nose stud next! Jx

Possibly even a tattoo??!!

Well done on the loss and the exercise! And it's perfectly fine to call them videos. It's just one of those terms that has morphed into something else, ie. electronic video files, not cassettes. My colleagues and I were just talking about this the other day, as there are so many words we use in English that are technically obsolete. Like 'hanging up' the phone. It's not that we're old... :)

Funny, I never thought about 'hanging up' but of course, it totally is old fashioned.

So, what's the verdict? Nose pierced or flesh singed? Jx

Good evening my Dukan friends, not been around for a couple of day but all is well just been a bit busy had a concert last night that went really well raised loads of money for the local hospice, we do this concert every year, the choir has been doing it for the past 20 years.

Been catching up with the olympics, really enjoyed the canoeing although we didnt get anywhere its quite exciting to watch, OH has been watching the beach volley ball, no idea why he has suddenly developed an interest in this sport lol, the swimming has been fab and it was lovely to see another couple of golds from Wiggo himself and the rowing girls!! loving it all to be honest, even the ladies footy!!

Food choices continue to be ok although i didnt go shopping at the weekend and have left myself a bit short of ingredients to make stuff, there isnt much you can buy off the shelf at the supermarkets thats Dukan friendly. Been out today and got my supplies of Fromage frais and quark need to make some muffins and a jelly and Ill be set.

My piercings have been a bit sore, not sure if im allergic to the earrings, i have an metal allergy, and i m not sure how long i have to leave them in for before changing them over. Im such a wuss, dont do pain at all!. Nose piercing and flesh singeing will have to wait until i can get over the fear of needles and pain,
oh the irony!!

Collette, you remind mr of Dr.Martain a doctor with a fear of blood and you a nurse with a fear of needles lol xxx

Sid, im fine giving injections to other people, just dont like them going into me, im terrible cant watch, go all faint lol

hahaha you big softy lol:cry:

Col, usually the earrings have to be in for 6 weeks, cleaning occasionally and turning a couple of times a day......but, be careful when turning that your hair doesn't get trapped and cause problems.

My daughter got hers done last year and was told to clean them twice a day. She hated it, until she learned to do it herself. A friends daughter got hers done and she was told you don't need to clean them every day, this was from a specialist piercing place that they really only need it every now and then, and of course when you wash your hair or have a shower they get cleaned anyway. We used Claires Accessories for my DD ears, so not specialists.

Oh my, this is bringing back such memories, Collette!!

My best friend (who was 14) pierced my ears with a needle and ice cube when I was 9! Eek  This was after my dear old dad had forbidden it but as I had very long hair, I thought I could hide it ...!!

I couldn't. He went bonkers!!! :D Anyway, the very next morning I was off and swapping my sensible gold posts for 'fashion' earrings. Ouch, pea-pod (as we used to (and still do!) call 'sore pierced ears') hell.

Dad's been dead 32 years but this is his second mention on the Dukan boards today. We all love our dads, 'eh girls? :)

P x
