I have recently started the 5:2 diet - a few of the girls at work are doing it and I was really sceptical about it when I heard them talking about it. Didn't think it could possibly be healthy so I started to do a bit of research on the web. I came across an article that talked about a Horizon documentary on the subject of fasting called Eat, Fast & Live Longer. If you haven't seen it I've posted a link below. It was REALLY interesting and really helped explain that 1) it works and 2) it has lots of health benefits too, not just weight loss.
