After flirting with various different diets over the past year trying to lose the (almost) 2st I have gained since beginning uni last year. I lost 20lbs on the Discover plan in 2010, which was mostly pregnancy weight and maintained between 9st 10lbs and 9st 7lbs. I believe I am 11st now, I was too frightened to weigh myself this morning but I am pretty sure that's where I am. I will weigh tomorrow to be sure. My biggest diet downfalls are wine and overeating - I am hoping pro points can help me beat my demons! I have decided to stop drinking for the time being - although I love a glass of wine, I am becoming too dependant on needing it to be able to enjoy myself and it completely sabotages my diet efforts so unless I have a very special occasion sprung upon me I will not be drinking for the next month or so :)

Little bit about me, I am Claire :) I am 27, live with my partner of 8 years and my daughter Isla who is 4. I'm a full time BEd student training to teach early years which is fun but extremely demanding. I don't know if there's anything else about me you need to know, I guess I'll fill you in on things as you read my diary :) Look forward to getting to know you all!

Thanks Becky :)

What was your McCain jacket potato like? Apparently tesco do sell them in their light choices range with cheese on for 6pp, I have been dying to try them but haven't managed to get my hands on them yet!!

I don't know yet, it's still in the oven! ;) Having a late dinner tonight as OH is not home yet from London. Will let you know when I eat it!

Decided to use a few weeklies on some peppercorn sauce and I stole a roast potato from my mum's! So am going to say 3 weeklies, does that sound about right? So new balance is 46 weekly points left :) saving them for some pizza at the weekend! 1 whole ristorante mozarella pizza is 22 points, yikes!

It was lovely - did it in the oven for 5pp and the skin was all crispy and the flesh really soft :) I am going to deduct another 2 off my weeklies for a little bit of butter in my potato, so weekly balance is 44 :( Here's a pic of my tea! 525711_10152276599100601_70683649_n.jpg

No I haven't found them :-( I have John looking in the express near his work the other day too. I will have to wait till I go down south as there's a big extra store near my hotel so they will defo sell them, I hope!! x

Hi Sammie, thanks for your message :) I will use my weeklies, just like to save them for the weekend. Am planning a ristorante mozarella pizza at some point, yum yum! 22 points :) I'm used to saving them as always seemed to use them on alcohol but am going tee total for November to try and maximise my weight loss before Christmas. Been trying to lose weight for over a year now after a difficult time last year and it's got to the point where enough is enough. Shall I post some before and after pics of me? Might be good inspiration. Off to find some pics :)

Okay, here goes

Before, after losing weight on the Disover plan about 2 years ago, estimated weight is 9st 5lbs ish:
before.jpg

After, taken last Thursday at my friend's wedding, weight 11st 2lbs :(:

after.jpg

I'm on the left, cream jacket and blonde hair. YUCK. Don't want to look like this any more :(

Before and after pics in reverse, I could do that as I've yo-yo'd so many times!! I don't recognise you in the second pic with the blonde hair...

You look soooo happy in the first pic, you will set back there again x

I'm always changing my hair, hehe! It's quite long now and I'm loving being blonde, just wish I could get rid of the fat face! I wore contacts for the wedding but 99% of the time I am a speccy four eyes lol

I wish I could go from dark to blonde! I've just recently had mine cut short which was a massive step for me! I love it, wish I'd have done it sooner!

Lovely pic of you and your daughter x
