After a tickle in my throat last night, its now turned into a full blown cold. My throat, ears and nose are so itchy!!! Luckily all I want to do is drink pints of tea!

Food Diary...

Breakfast - Magic porridge (HEXb), banana, blueberries

Snack - grapes, blueberries

Lunch - 70g white baguette (9 syns), 1 tsp flora light (1 syn), 1 tbsp branston pickle (1 syn), 20g low low cheese (part HEXa), ham, cucumber, spinach, bag of sugarsnap peas

Snack - smoked salmon, pickled onions

Dinner - Chilli con Carne (1 tsp bisto 0.5 syns) (tinned tomatoes, red onion, red pepper, garlic), rice

5 tea w/ skimmed milk
(part HEXa)
Sparkling water

Total syns = 11.5

Thanks! I need to stop having weekends off though. I'm so good all week (and for the majority of the weekend) but I relax with the wine and nibbles. I'm going to try for a 100% week this week and definitely try to stay within syns!

I'm refusing to syn my strepsils though! :p

I went out to watch some comedy last night. Everyone else was drinking but I stuck to soda water all night. Having a cold helped tbh - I didn't fancy it and also had an excuse for not drinking so people didn't pressure me into it.

Thursday...

Breakfast - Mullerlight strawberry, 35g Jordans Natural Muesli (HEXb), banana, blueberries

Lunch - Pasta w/ tuna mayo (0.5 syns), 2 babybel light (HEXa), sweetcorn, cucumber, spinach, grapes

Snack - smoked salmon, pickled onions

Dinner - (out) Chicken Kiev (only had about a quarter of the breadcrumbs - oven baked), potato wedges, salad leaves, cucumber, peppers (no dressing) (round it up to 12 syns just in case!)

2 tea w/ skimmed milk (HEXa)
Sparkling/soda water

Total syns = 12.5


Friday...

Breakfast - skipped as had no appetite!

Lunch - 2 Nimble wholemeal (HEXb), 25g Low Low cheese (HEXa), 1 tsp flora (1 syn), 1 tbsp light salad cream (1 syn), spinach, bag of sugarsnap peas, 1 carrot

Snack - (meant for brekkie) Mullerlight rhubarb, banana, grapes

Snack - handful of pistachios (probably had more than 25g - no idea why! I hate wasting my syns on stuff I don't even want! :confused:) (7.5 syns) :mad:

Dinner - tbc

2 tea w/ skimmed milk (HEXa)
Sparkling water

We were planning on going to go out for a curry (to try to clear my sinuses) but I feel poo. If we do I'll have dhansak and pilau rice, and if we stay in it will be prawn stir fry. I'll update after we've made a decision! At the moment I'm feeling like I want to stay home - although the OH is playing Skyrim again!

Update: We had stirfry! I feel like poo but my dinner was yummy :(

Dinner - Prawn Stirfry w/ dried egg noodles, 1 tbsp honey (2 syns), 1 tbsp sweet chilli (1.5 syn), soy sauce, red pepper, mushrooms, garlic, chilli, carrot, edamame beans, cabbage, red onion, broccoli (put in too much honey by accident)

Unintentionally high syn week so far (although all within limit!) I need to watch out for high syn snacks - stupid pistachios :(

Literally 0 superfree today. I can't be bothered to cook and I don't have an appetite for the big meals I usually have so I don't think it's too much of a problem for one day...? (I've probably consumed less calories so far today than I normally do - obviously not the point of slimming world though)

I did the food shop today and bought some extra lean pork mince. I think I'm going to try out SW Spicy Meatballs and some SW Scotch Eggs! And maybe even SW Szechuan noodles if I can be bothered. Has anyone got any other good recipe ideas for pork mince that I could try? (I can't stand Shephards/Cottage pie btw)

Dinner (out) - Chicken Dhansak (6.5 syns), pilau rice 100g (1 syn), 1 poppadom (4 syns), 1 tbsp mango chutney (2 syns), 1 tbsp cucumber raita (1 syn)

Snack (I really wanted choc) - mullerlight mint, raspberries

1 tea w/ skimmed milk
Sparkling water

Total syns = 18.5

At least my cold has completely removed my desire to drink alcohol! Sticking to the sparkling water tonight - I don't want to feel any more crap that I already do :rolleyes:

Total weekly syns so far = 55.5/105


My flowers are continuing to cheer me up!

Youve done well considering your feelin poo, i tend to reach for the crisps n choc wen i feel crap ... but youve done great. Hope it goes soon xxxx
 
Feeling better today :). I tried out the low fat Supernoodles today as the food shop arrived with the Sweet Thai Chilli and Chilli Chicken flavours I'd ordered. I haven't had Supernoodles in about 10 years! They were really good - going to add veg next time but they were pretty filling on their own!

Food Diary...

Breakfast - 2 Nimble wholemeal (HEXb), 2 bacon (fat removed), 1 poached egg, 2 tsps flora light (2 syns), 1 tbsp ketchup (1 syn)

Lunch - Supernoodles low fat Sweet Thai Chilli, strawberries, grapes, blueberries, raspberries, fat free natural yoghurt, 2 mini meringues (2 syns)

Dinner - Chicken fillet
wrapped in low fat mozzarella (part HEXa) 1 slices parma ham (0.5 syn) & basil, chicken stock roast potatoes, babycorn, broccoli, mangetout

Snack - Butterkist popcorn 25g bag (shared some with OH) (about 4 syns)

2 tea w/ skimmed milk
(part HEXa)
Sparkling water
Red wine (8.5 syns)

Total syns = 18 :sigh:

Just reading through your diary n when I came across this bit it so reminded me of myself!
I usually do EE n during the week
I'm brill but Friday night comes n I always av a bottle of wine, rather than syn it though I say it's my treat n time off for being good, ( naughty i no) the trouble is with the wine then comes snacking n although I save all my syns from the day I still manage to go over m at night. I also sometimes av a glass or two on sat n sun but syn them if I do which usually then ends up with me going over my daily allowance again.
Think I'll start n work seven days a week see if that helps!

I know exactly what you mean although I've been quite proud of how much I've been able to resist the wine, as before SW I was drinking it almost nightly! :eek:

I just find that I relax a bit on a Saturday - I have a few glasses and tend to eat out or have some nibbles with drinks. As I've now lost the excess weight I'd gained, I'm now trying to go into unknown territory (the 10s!) and so I don't think I'm going to get away with it anymore!

My weightloss also seems to have fluctuated over the last few weigh ins - but I have put the two gains down to TOTM and eating a 3 course dinner the night before weigh in! Not such a clever idea ;).

I have been 100% this week so if its a STS (which it feels like at the mo) then I'm really going to have to get stricter at the weekends! The problem is that I really don't want this to feel like a diet or I just won't stick with it!

I finally got my butt back to the gym. I'm going to try for at least 2 times a week (preferably 3!)

Dinner - Prawn Stirfry w/ dried egg noodles, garlic, chilli, red onion, courgette, red pepper, brocolli, mushrooms, edamame beans, babycorn, 1 tsp honey (1 syn), 1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (1 syn), 1 tsp soy sauce

Snack - Mullerlight toffee, banana

2 tea w/ skimmed milk (HEXa)
Sparkling water

Gym - bike, crosstrainer, treadmill, rowing machine = 1 hr

Total syns = 2

Total weekly syns so far = 75.5/105

Snack - Maltesers treatsize (5.5 syns)

Wowwwwww how do you get your chips to look like actual chips? Mine look like ive thrown a potato on the floor haha. Xxxxxxx
 
I used a baking potato and chopped it into chip shapes then put them into the microwave for a few minutes. I then spread them out on a foil lined baking tray sprayed with frylight and cooked at about 180 until they looked done. They look a bit floppy because I wrapped them in the tin foil and put them in the bottom of the oven whilst I grilled the burgers.

WI this morning and a 1.75lb loss! That brings me to a total of 11lbs lost, and below what I was before I gained the excess weight!
