Thanks so much Vintagepockets! Love the Wholefoods pics, you should take a pic of your loot!!

You look so like your Dad, before I even read that post I knew that's who it was :)

That sounds lovely, did your dad like his gift? I'm taking that your parents are divorced? Mine too. Since I was about 12. My mam re-married three years ago and my stepdad lives with us. Do your dad and Stepdad get along well? It can be awkward sometimes but no family is perfect right? Makes me want a stable family home though for myself. Everyone wishes that though so I suppose were all not invincible.

My mam is the exact same regarding the tummy problems. Anything like chips or baked foods make her really sick and the same kind of issues you had with the toilet and tummy cramps etc. Didn't you mention that you were eating a lot of bread while you were travelling? Just a thought!

I can imagine the weightloss comments are annoying. You look fabulous. In no way gaunt or too skinny. People don't think about these things. You spent so long losing the weight and do they expect you to just eat crap and pile it back on in a few months? It's a life change! I hope that pressure eases off. Is any of it coming from OH?

x

Definitely not from the OH he'd love me whatever weight I was and says I look gorgeous whatever (I'm a very lucky lady). It's mainly from my Mum and a little from my brother.

I got ill the first week of travelling with an inflamed colon. Never had any problems with food making me feel ill before then. I didn't feel ill afterwards for the rest of the time we travelled either. I did eat chips and burgers and lots of bread whilst we were away for the rest of the 4 months and had no problems.

It's only been since I've been back on plan and after eating greasy chips that I've felt crap so I'm thinking it could just be that my stomach isn't used to all of that concentrated grease. Bread overall doesn't give me any problems at all so I think it's just the deep fried stuff. It's put me off eating anything like that again for a while which is good. I still feel a bit iffy today!

My parents divorced when I was 2 and my mum and stepdad have been married for 13 years. He's like a second dad to me and I'm very lucky that my parents are good friends and I've never had to deal with them not getting along. Me and my brother were too young to understand or remember the divorce so as far as I can remember they've always been friends. My dad never remarried and I think he's too set in his ways now to ever settle down again. I always used to wish that he would meet someone else but he seems happy enough on his own.

I'm starting work at 5pm and going into town for an hour before that to finish up my Xmas shopping so I had my dinner for lunch. I'm taking an egg mayo sandwich and an apple with me to have for my dinner. It should be a busy one tonight so lots of body magic and hopefully some good tips too. I'm actualy really enjoying working there at the moment - it's always more fun at Xmas!

So here I am back to writing up my food diary for the four days (FOUR DAYS???) before Xmas. My stomach is still really hurting today so I'm hoping I can flush out that horrid grease that's upsetting it.

I realised that Chorizo does have free food in it so it's not as simple as working out the syns using the 1=20 syns calculation. The type I used had 110 cals per 25g in it so I'm guesstimating at 4.5.

Food Diary...

Breakfast - banana, mixed berries, ff natural yoghurt, 1 tsp freedom syrup (0.5 syns)

Lunch - Pasta w/ 1 tbsp pesto (1.5 syns), 25g chorizo (4.5 syns), blue cheese and rf cheddar cheese (HEXa), chicken, red onion, red peppers, courgette, 3 olives (0.5 syns)

Snack - 1 miniature hero (2.5 syns)

Dinner - wholemeal roll (HEXb) w/ egg mayo (0.5 syns), el flora (1 syn), lettuce, cucumber, 1 apple

2 tea w/ skimmed milk (HEXa)
Herbal tea
Sparkling & soda water

Total syns = 10.5

Lunch (technically Dinner)...

Just got home from work and stuffed my face with 3 very small slices from a multiseed batch loaf with homemade smoked mackerel pate and a couple of handfuls of popchips. It would of been lower in syns to have the Chinese I wanted!

We're off to the cinema tomorrow and grabbing dinner straight from work. I think these good few days I planned are out of the window and I'll just have to get back on track after boxing day. I think I'm going to try for a 100% Sunday and Monday so there is no guilt on Xmas day still though.

I feel just as you do. Its just too hard this week! Feel a little will go a long way though.

Hiya!

Your from Cheltenham - I'm from Hereford! Looks like you have done this past year on slimming world. I'm looking to do just as well next year. Well done!

Here are some pics of me in my new dresses. Not the best quality photos (btw I hate it when peeps take pics in the mirror so please excuse that). The pics of the green one came out really badly so here is the black. A couple of bumps from the front but pretty pleased overall! :D

Just saw this pic, OMG! You have such a beautiful figure. Your shape is THE one to have, tall, slim but still with some curves. Who cares about the teeny bumps, nothing s pair of spanx can't sort out. I highly recommend them btw!
I can *kind* of see where your family are coming from regarding still being careful with food because you are very slim. However lets not forget the work it took to get there, don't want to fall back! When (yes WHEN not IF dammit!!) I get to target I plan on saying I'm just eating healthy, not following any particular diet. Hope it works!

Okay I'm suitably jealous and inspired, time to meet my son and blast those pounds!!

Good Luck! Are you going to do a diary? I really recommend it as without mine there is no way I would of stayed on track and lost the weight.

Aww thanks Honey that's so lovely :D! You definitely will get there you eat so well and considering you're pregnant that is some impressive willpower! Most people would use that as an excuse to stuff their faces but you have the right attitude of feeding the baby all of these lovely healthy things - very inspiring! Agree with you about the spanx, but there seems to be a little inny bit between my stomach and hips that it would be lovely to fill out so I have a nice smooth line. Unfortunately that is just the way my body is shaped so nothing I can do about that. Exercise would probably help but I'm way too lazy for that!

I do keep saying I'm just eating healthily as if I don't follow the principles of SW (even if loosely) then I don't eat nearly as much fruit and veg. However, it's now got to the point where I'm purposely eating crap in front of them just so they can see that I'm not "dieting" and I do "treat" myself (as my Mum is forever worrying I don't do), even if what I really want is something yummy but healthy as it really does taste so much better and doesn't leave me running to the toilet every 10 mins like the fish and chips did on Thursday!

Warning: winge-y post tonight!

Food was ok today but not SW. Breakfast was small multiseed batch with marmite, lunch was thai butternut squash soup from work, and dinner was a light Pizza Express pizza. It was definitely not my meal of choice. We went to the OH's parents for dinner as we all went to the cinema to see The Hobbit tonight (SO boring - I cannot deal with sitting in a cinema for 3 hours, I struggle at 1.5!) The boys had Dominoes and the OH's Mum decided that us girls would want the low fat option. To be honest if I'm going to have something naughty I'd rather just go full fat, or even better have a Chinese - pizza is definitely not my thing. I got a bit grumpy (to myself, I'm not the type of person to be rude about these kinds of things) but I was tired from work and really couldn't be bothered with the cinema and I most definietly did not want pizza for my dinner. A chinese and the Strictly final was so much more appealing. Also, I know this sounds petty and ridiculous especially as my previous post was moaning about people telling me to stop losing weight, but I thought it was a little presumptuous that I wouldn't want Dominoes too and would want a low fat version!? No definitely me being petty haha. I just find that the OHs Mum can be a bit sexist sometimes, especially with food. Even though all of the men in the family are overweight, and her and I are not, she always gives the men the bigger portions or the naughty food and she decides that we would prefer salad. I think it's partly just because I hate people making decisions for me, even if they're trying to be nice. You can't win with me can you hahaha!

You might find that's a generation thing with feeding the men more and diet stuff for the girls but totally get where you're coming from.

Hope you get to catch up with strictly. It was a good one :)

Yeah I think you're right and she knows I've been on SW but then again so is the OH. It's funny as OH thought she was a feminist but with things like that she can be a bit sexist.

I am being so bad with eating SF at the moment. I had none today and my only portion of my 5 a day was baked beans! I think once I'm back in office work it will be back to fruit and veg again as that's what I snack on in work and I always have fruit and yogurt for breakfast and a proper dinner. Being on shift work I'm finding I'm eating very little whilst in work so when I finish a late shift I'm starving so snack on bread. Nevermind eh it's only temporary and the exercise seems to be conteracting the naughties I'm having.

Tomorrow I'm planning on having fruit, yogurt and muesli for breakfast, then make some pasta to take into work. I'm off in the evening so planning to have a Chinese and share a bottle of prosecco I got from work with the OH. Me and the OH are going to make a strudel too as we said we'd supply the dessert for xmas day. Getting excited now!

Oh and Merry Christmas Eve! :)

I can understand this. I really can!

Pizza happens to be my weakness... It has my two favourite and notoriously fattening food in it : bread and cheese!

Happy Christmas! Hope everyone has a great day xxx

Hey there hun, your Christmas pics are lovely, I hope you had a great day :D

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and got lots of goodies! I was spoilt rotten with a new handbag, home bits, recipe books, slippers and a slow cooker.

I ate what I wanted over the festive period but it still felt like I didn't eat as much as I normally would (basically I managed to resist the chocolates!). However, I spent the whole of Christmas and Boxing Day feeling stuffed. I've decided to do SW from yesterday up until New Year in order to do some damage limitation as I want to have what I want on New Year's Eve and Day. The OH has planned our New Year so I don't know where we are going but I think we're staying overnight somewhere. I got some money for Xmas so I've treated myself to a new dress to wear for the occassion. I can't wait to find out where we're going.
