Extra easy...

Hi everyone! I still can't understand extra easy :-( I get the 1/3 super free, 2/3 free (red or green) but then where do your syns come in?! So far today I've had garlic mushroom jacket potato with salad (free) and SW cheesecake (7 syns) and a HE b alpen. So can I have 2 wholemeal rolls with 1 reduced fat sausage on each? (approx 8 syns) and a side salad 1/3? I dunno if that's right as I have my 1/3 super free but the other part isn't free? I don't get it!!!! :-( HELP!!!

Katie, the above menu is more Green than EE to me. Therefore you can have 1 or 2 Hea (milk or cheese) and 2 HEb (cereal & bread). The only syns you've had will be the cheesecake and the low fat sausages - which brand did you have? Most low fat ones are 0.5 or 1 syn each so you're under the 15 syn max so far.

On Red or Green days you don't HAVE to have the 1/3 superfree but it will obviously help as it's all fruit & veg (a few exceptions to the veg if on a Red day).

On EE you can only have 1 or each Hea & HEb so you won't be able to have cereal & bread without syning one of them (you may have done this with your bread rolls but you didn't really need to).

Have a scroll through the links below, they may seem to be a bit old but the basics are there so they should help you. Otherwise, don't panic, just ask ;)

Remember though if you change to green now and have your other hex's, the sausages need to be synned on green plan so will be more than half or 1 syn x

Sort of but in a nutshell, on Red or Green you have to think a bit more about your menu for the day but you don't on EE.
For instance on Red you can eat as much protein as you like but have to watch the carbs and vice versa on Green and on EE you can have unlimited of both.
