Extra meal

    So if you read my earlier post you'll know that my consultant told me to have extra meal. So I'm on building site and they got chicken breast and salad. Which u would think is good...no lol
    It's so dry it's unbelievable. I have to swallow a piece with a gulp of water. So I went around the corner to a cafe and they did me chicken fillet but was lightly fried. Will this take me out of ketosis? Hope not cause it was beautiful lol

    Hi Jonny, fried is not really ideal.. lol :D
    The whole point is healthy, low fat and high protein. Drink lots of water and don't eat it fried again - cooked slowly, chicken won't dry out.

    Lol yea I suppose so. But will it take me out of ketosis???

    Hey Jonny,

    I'm not an expert but I would have thought that this will kick you out of ketosis.

    I was kicked out of ketosis by having 2 two and 2 malt toffee bars :eek:

    It's likely, was it coated in anything? Fat won't kick you out itself I don't think... Plenty of water will help flush it thru x

    No it was coated in nothing just chicken but fried

    Lightly fried in olive oil - I do that with omelettes or chicken, and no problem at all. Not so sure about vegetable oil though. I eat my chicken dry usually with a squirt of Hellmann's full fat mayo, and it does not affect losses, nor ketosis, although it's not in the rules of course!

    Don't worry too much about this one meal - just try and plan - take some prawns with you or hard boiled egg - I also eat smoked salmon slices occasionally, and have this with scrambled egg.

    I've done this since the beginning of SS+. Low losses last few weeks is due to hols and drinking wine, but I've never weighed my protein either.
