Feeling empowered at last

#1
Hi all, well after the last few weeks of illness and funeral etc, I have been fannying about like a fa*t in a colander, but NO MORE! All day I have been going around with head hung low feeling so sorry for myself that I have wasted the last 4 - 6 weeks by making excuses for not loosing weight. It is no bodies fault but mine, but I think I have been looking to lay the blame at someone else's door with one thing and another. But that stops right here and now. From 5 55pm today I am back on plan with avengence. Books are in place in kitchen and I have no more excuses in place to use for not making headway now. So I am off and running with gusto peeps. At least I haven't gained any weight (a blessing and surprise really) so I haven't' got to recover any ground but I must get this blubber melted away in the next 8 months, I want a good summer next year in some lovely clothes and I certainly don't want to be suffering with heat as I do normally. So there we have it huns, sorry for the moan, but I needed to tell myself off and make a choice, minimins or maxime and it ain't gonna be the second choice.

Anyway, hope you are all doing fantastically well, and are having a good time. Love Carolyne xxxxx

You go girl!!!

I'm still in the honeymoon 'I can do this' stage - which has normally more than worn off with other programmes like WW - cos it's so easy to slip into. And the fact you've not put any on since your awful few weeks proves that you probably haven't been 'that' bad and something has stuck even through the bad times.

And this forum inspires me more and more that the weight does come off it you work at it.

Hugs

Yep I do, its the sack lol.

You are so right, I have something to focus on and aim for with a short goal on the Christmas challenge so the gloves are off now.

Cooking cabbage and its stinking the house out lol. Yeah I know, too much information.

You go girl....I have also spent the summer faffing around and not really getting stuck into it - which has cost me a fortune so a few weeks ago I asked my consultant to scrap my old notes and start afresh....I think in my head I was too busy thinking about what had been lost and gained and lost and gained that I had lost sight of my original want to lose weight!!

I am now more motivated than I have EVER been - EVER!!!

I've joined the gym and have been 3 times each week (which I'm impressed with seeing as it is fitting round my kids schedules!!) and I've had all my recipe books out to find things I haven't made before...sometimes I get stuck in a rut cooking the same thing week after week - its no wonder I get bored and lose my way...

So my goal is a stone before xmas - 2 1/2 lbs down so far...weigh in on fri.....

we can do this................................................

Tried to rep you CG but you know the message! Just to say that it's incredible that you haven't put any weight on with the stress you've been through! Well done for pulling your shoulders and starting again!
