First day on Cambridge after doing lipotrim and returning from holidays!

Hi All

Started a thread on the vhi site but no takers who are doing cd, So Read that laney had set this up from the vhi site. I started ss yesterday - so day 2 for me and have lost 2 and 3/4 pounds already.
I really want this to work for me. Realistically I have 6 stone to lose. I would love to lose about three doing ss. Hope you dont mind me joing in
Whats the threads are good to check in on in this site to do with cd -
 
Hi excesspounds lovely to meet you, im christina and ive been on 1200plan for 11 weeks so weight losses arent great but its moving in the right direction!!

Well done on getting to day 2, the first few days off SS i believe are the hardest but hang on in there it's worth every second of anguish coz you'll see fantastic results on those scales!!!! You'll soon have that siz stone off....theres 1 girl been doing CD for 15 weeks and has lost 5 stone in that time and she looks fabulous!!!!

If you look under the cambridge diet forum theres lots of threads on there, theres one called the daily thread so for example todays says it's friday lets do this hour by hour

Was just on another thread and found some recipes for cheesecake and crisps using cd- cant wait to try!!
 
Cant say ive tried any of them lol im happy just with the shakes theyre VERY nice with crushed ice and blended mmmm

how are you all doing? Nice to meet you excesspounds! You will find loads of support on here. I love reading the success stories because it gives you so much motivation and encouragement. I'm sure you will manage to do it. The results on the Cambridge are amazing. I am away to Florida on Thurs and plan to enjoy myself but seriously considering getting back on the Cambridge when I get home as it gives the best results. I have just been trying to eat healthy lately and the results are so slow. Perhaps I will try and get the bulk of it off on Cambridge and then try and get into the habit of healthy eating and exercise. Thats the main thing to change my habiits for life. Anyway, best of luck – the first 3 days are the worst, after that it gets much easier. Just keep glugging lots of water!

Hi Lucy!!

So sorry I havent been on. Ive decided to do WW instead. it would take me about 3 or 4 months on CD but about 10 on WW but at least I can have a bit of a life! I have a few social things coming up that just cant be avoided so I thought it best to try the conventional diet! Are you still ssing??
 
no, I have done the same as you! Well, sort of. After my holiday the thought of Cambridge again was too hard so I am healthy eating and trying to exercise more. I thought because I am going away again I shouldn't keep going on and off the Cambridge. I may go back on it next year but for now I am just trying to change my eating habits by being a lot healthier. The weight is creeping off extremely slowly!! I miss the Cambridge diet's fast results but it didn't suit me at all. I like socialising too much and me and my partner are always eating out. WW is great because you can point count and eat just about anything as long as you are within your daily points. I was thinking about starting back on it after my holiday but doing the core plan. I think I need the motivation of a weekly weigh in! xxx
 
Evening girls well ive had a bit of a disasterous weekend but all of my own free will went to the gym on Saturday which triggered a migrane and so i spent Sat evening in bed spewing which was rather gross and then we've not really had any food except rubbish since then coz neither of us felt well enough to cook so we've lived off chocolate and biscuits quite literally this weekend which tasted delicious but not healthy in the slightest lol

Laney and Lucy hope you've both had a good weekend and Lucy have a wonderful time in Florida. Laney good luck on WW i'm sure you'll still have great results esp if you combine the healthy eating with exercise too!!!
 
Ill keep poping in girls. Theres a WW thread on this site too so Im over there posting my heart away. Come over and keep me company every now and again!

Hi Lucy and again have a FANTASTIC TIME you really deserve to hun!!!

Well im feeling much better today and after a pretty pathetic few days i've got my bum back in gear and been to the gym this evening, got an appt tomorrow with my gym instructer person so i'll be there tomorrow too, on my 4th litre of water aiming for 6 before bed.

Wow it's so quiet on here since u girls dropped off cambridge....dont leave me i'll get lonely Donamarie where are you? Not seen you on for AGES hope you're ok. Laney hope the healthy eating is going well too, remember to watch your portion sizes and go for low carb!!!!
 
Evening girls, hope you're all well :)

Well i think my motivation has returned, been to the gym again today for my review and shes changed my programme coz i was finding it too easy and spending more and more time on the treadmill and bike so i'm looking forward to trying that tomorrow.....have done 45mins on tradmill, 25 on bike, 5 on crosstrainer 5 on rope climbing machine and then 160 sit ups and drank 2.25 litres whilst i was there so im up to 4.5litres aiming for 6 again.

Hi all... im back!!!
Had problems with my internet connection, then hubby 2b's birthday, then mine, then we went on holiday!
So cd went totally out the window!
But i went last night, and weighed in for a total restart.
But to my amazement :eek: i'd only gained 6lbs, so im still 4lbs down.

But im gonna forget that and re start, so ive got a new ticker and ive also changed my target.
So im on day 1 again lol.
But got 8 weeks till christmas and im not messing about anymore with this diet!
No birthdays, no holidays, no excuses, so it's 8 weeeks of s/s for me... Here goes :)
 
Hiya DonnaMarie and lovely to see you and happy belated birthday to you and your h2b :) Nice to see you back on track and ready to start again hehe well ive not been weighed again this week coz my CDC has gone on holiday so im hoping for 4lbs when i get weighed on Friday and according to my scales i've lost 2lbs this week :) Am going to the gym tomorrow morning have set my alarm and then im going window shopping with my friend hehe

Because, as you've proberly guessed already ive not started s/s yet still!
I start off good but by mid afternoon early evening, i've messed up!
I find myself talking myself out of cd!
Or putting it off till tomorrow.. and tomorrow aint coming!
Everyday's been the same this past week. :banghead:
What is wrong with me!!! :mad:

I keep talking myself into other diet's ww sw, things ive done in the past... but i know i wont stick to them either.
The way i think is a diet is a diet, so i'd rather be on one less time, so cd should be the one i do, i need the buzz of quick losses... if i could only get past the 1st few days, i know this is for me.... but i keep finding myself here again.
That voice in my head keeps getting me here!
I sound like a total mad woman huh!
Oh i dunno.... need to have a serious think, i think!

Hiya Donnamarie YAY finally life on the board :-D So sorry you're struggling to get back into it, you really should consider a food plan then you wont feel as deprived and you'll be less likely to have a big binge if you know you can have something to eat but you can do this hun you already have done!!!!!! When should you be going for your weigh in? OR maybe think it's only 7 weeks til christmas is there a party you want to look fab for or an outfit you desperately want to get into? Maybe these could be things to motivate you and have you tried the old fat picture on the fridge and thin picture on the fridge?

Things are still going pretty well for me, been to the gym again tonight and i did 30mins on incline 5.5 at speed 4.8 that did me 295kcals then i did 25mins cardio setting on the bike that did 133kcals then i did 10mins on the cross trainer for 130 kcals then 160 sit ups 5mins on rope climbing machine and 10 lengths in the pool oh it was lush oooo and tomorrow we're going shopping to get me some jumpers and trousers and my new lancome face stuff i'm so excited :-D
 
Evening girls well i've had another great day today, work was rather stressful but i went shopping in T ctr tonight and bought all my wedding make up :-D im really really looking forward to weigh in this week am hoping for 4lbs coz it's 2 weeks and i'll be back at the gym tomorrow night too :)

Evening girls hope all is well, i went to the gym again last night and burnt off over 600kcals :-D weigh in tonight and i lost a massive 6lbs so im one VERY happy bunny!!!!!!!!!!!!
