First time on CD straight into SS and finding it REALLY tough!!

Hi All,
first time on CD and finding it really tough! Was scarily hungry yesterday, kind of better today up to now... I can just dream those soups with some bread...mm nice chewy bread!!
Most of all I really miss solid food! Even a salad would do just something to crunch on...
I don't have much to lose but really want to stick to it and lose it fast!

Welcome to cd hun!!! If you stick out the first 3-5 days, you'll get into ketosis and stop feeling the hunger pangs. Then on your 3rd week you will be able to have the cd bars, which are great to chew on - and make Friday nights bearable!!! I'm like a child - i love my Friday treat (aka cd bar!!! lol)
I find when times are tough I do 1 of many things to take my mind off food. Phone someone, have a warm bath, read a magazine, check out the 'inspiration slide show', get hb in the bedroom (lol) or get on with the ironing!!!
Stick with it though sweet, your weigh in will be here before you know it and the results will be sooooooo worth it!

Good advice from emmapetty - get through the first few days and you will be fine.
I used to put headphones on and listen to music, dancing around the lounge, read all those novels that line my book shelf but don't seem to get round to, research new clothes or activities/sports/social events that will be accessable/available to me once I've lost the weight.

Yea stick with it, you have had some great advice from the other girls here.

I used to look at the clothes online and fantasize about being able to wear them like blingbabe suggested. I really helped to keep me on track in the early days.

And of course I took a look at myself in the mirror with no clothes on...yuk. That was also more than enough to keep me going.

I'll try to keep myself distracted as much as I can though I'm really fearing the weekend! Work helps (though lovely smells just dance by when it's lunch time) and I find reading through minimins helps too... you guys are great moral support!!
Ahh I sure can't wait to get my hands on those bars!! :)

yes i do the same as emma and have a bar of friday night i cut it into pieces and put in freezer than get it out and it like eating a mars bar, in small chunks so lasts longer. I started having bars in week 2.
keep going plinka...it does get easier! you can do it!

Plinka, Its my first day on CD and i have just had the vanilla shake, im convinced im gonna hurl any minute! Its nasty! Ive already downed a litre of water to wash it down. In time im sure you get used to different flavours and learn what you like and dont like and whether you prefer it warm or cold.

I wish you luck and im sure you can do it.... im determined to do this 100% and hopefully see the results next Thursday to keep me going :)

Hang in there! CD is mentally tough but nothing in life that is worth anything is easy going! You can do it, write a list of goals and whenever you're having a wobble, remind yourself of your goals xx

good luck with it and try and stick to it, there are some great people here to help you and encourage you, some great stories and inspirational pics.

I only like the choccie shakes but hey im happy with that so choccie shakes and water is the future to a slim me.
