Flexi on first week

    slimming world
    Hi i joined slimming world on friday .
    if i have a flexi syn day today will i still lose weight next friday which is my weigh in day ?

    i was thinking of using 40 syns today does that sound too many?

    There is no real answer to that because it depends upon many variables, not least how you were eating before. If you were eating relatively healthily and may not have experienced the big initial "first week" loss then flexi synning may see you STS or even gain (although the latter in unlikely). If you weren't following any particular plan in the run up to starting SW then the answer is you will probably still lose weight, it just may not be as much.

    Flexi-synning should be the exception rather than the rule and saved for special events. If it can be avoided it should but is a fall back to allow life to continue whilst maintaining a semblance of control. I assume that if you are flexi synning in your first week you have a big event of some kind?

    the other option that works for some but not for all is to tasks your syns as a weekly total of 105 and deduct as you go. That way you claw a few back in the remaining days before Friday. I sometimes do that and it works for me just fine :)
