Hey everyone :wavey:

Anne Marie- you should definately start a food diary, it helps you track what you are eating, makes sure you count syns because if you write everything down you can't accidently forget you ate something and not syn it.

Also read through other people's it really helps to get idea's on different things to eat and try!

Muffintop- Glad the omlette was nice! They are so easy and you really can chuck anything in them!

Well I just made a big bowl of pasta salad with pasta, tuna, gratered carrot, onion, white cabbage, spring onion and cherry tomatoes. Going to mix it with EL mayo and then add cucumber and gratered cheese tomorrow and have it for my lunch! YUM!

I am going to restart syns tomorrow so they coincide with my weigh day.

Hoping my wii fit comes tomorrow, I am setting myself a challenge for burning 1500 calories a week!

Really pleased, first week so some of that will be water I know, going for 3lbs next week.

REALLY hoping my wii board comes today so I can start my challenge tonight and use it over the weekend. It's going to work so if it comes tomorrow I will have to wait till Monday :(

My weigh in is on Monday (at home). I am finding it really good so far. I was just saying to ruthhayes that it is down to this site, that I think I am doing so well. It really has spurred me on. There is so much help and advise and genuine support. It is great for me - because I dont go to the meetings. I used to go but the one i went to I only did a few weeks - it was far too commercialised - she had two meetings one after the other - so many people in it, i was just a number not a name if you know what I mean. I know there would have been other groups better but thought I would save myself the fiver! Someone said I have to keep the menu exciting. I think me not drinking wine for almost a week is a biggy for me!! Think I have saved myself about 2000 calories just on that!!! (one and a half bottles a vino each and every night! xx

I was the same with class, didn't enjoy it, so doing it at home. This website has been amazing and people are so helpful, really good for finding out syn values. That is great that you have cut down on wine, are you having any at all? Think of all the calories you are saving.

It is like when i smoked, I suddenly one day said enough is enough - that was five years ago nearly and not had one since and never intend to. I am hoping this is what will happen with me regarding drink and weight!! will post on monday am by weight loss. Going past those scales every morning and night without stepping on is hard but I am determined to just weigh myself once a week!!

Very well done honey, I used to smoke to and gave up about a year ago, best thing I have done. I really think you will have a great loss, drink lots of water flush it all out! Do you have a food diary/weight loss diary on here? Would love to follow :)

Thanks hun for your reply. Yes am drinking about 1-2ltrs water a day - its going up gradually without me even realising! I have had a food diary going since monday but I think it probably got lost in boringdom!! its under EE diary of second/third starter - bit of a boring heading i think!! Please read it if you get chance I would love your feedback.
Well done on smoking too - if we can do that then surely dropping a few pounds not going to be a problem lol!!! wink wink

Donna- I find aslong as I have around the right amount for a HEB its fine for me- I don't want to have to have wholegrain or certain bread for the rest of my life, so just learning a portion (1 slice instead of 3!) is helping me. SW is a life plan for me so going to do it my way a bit!

Things I am going to try making over the next few weeks:

Mini tuna quiche
SW ham and cheese quiche (made, Syn free with 1/2 HEA per half quiche)
Beef burgers with a laughing cow triangle and bacon with slimming world wedges
Cheese, bacon and potato bake
Stuffed peppers with rice

Meal plan for the week: Monday 10th January-Friday 16th)

1. Chili and rice
2. Paprika chicken with couscous
3. Something with chicken (maybe wrapped in bacon with cheese, or a kebab!) with slimming world wedges
4. Pork casserole and leek and potato bake
5. Pasta bake
6. SW burgers (going to make a couple of batches of meatballs too)

Feel like I have had a bad day today, but all within syns and haven't had a HEB! So goes to show just how much free food there is I suppose!!
