From here to inskinnity! My mission to lose 13.5 stone!

Hugs hun..... I am sure it is partly down to different scales and I'm sure the evil water retention fairy has been flapping her wings at you xx

Bet there's a giant loss just round the corner xx

Thanks guys, really appreciate all your supportive comments!

Just gonna keep positive and look forward to a biggie next week hopefully xxx

That's interesting... I've technically done a week of maintenance this week so I will be interested to see what the scales do over the next few weeks.

Hi Hun,

I now have the 0.5lb rage... You saw from my diary I was losing 0.5lb a week and literally sometimes would have preferred to stay the same because I was hating 0.5 lol! I guess that stopped with me when I stopped doing all the intense exercise... And it completely baffles me too. I hate not exercising now, it makes me feel so much more healthier, but it did not do anything for the scale.

I do think that your * week is probably alot to do with it, retaining water is a b*tch! Haha. I find it very hard to control water retention, if my body is gonna do it there's not much I can do to stop/change it. I've tried all the normal methods, its just a waiting game.

Also, I think you should prob watch your low low cal days.. You seem to have a lot of super low cal days and I don't know if that's maybe what's slowing your metabolism down, or making you hold more water.

Anyway, I think that next week you'll have a good loss and the 0.5lb's will be a thing of the past! Enjoy your weekend and just remember how you used to feel when you first started this journey and now look at you! :) x

Sweetie.... have you been taking measurements? The scales don't give a full picture

Hey Bevvy, just catching up. It's a shame about your small loss, but it's great! A loss is still a loss, it's in the right direction :) At least you haven't dwelled on it and eaten your feelings in scrummy chocolate, or cheese of course...

Few things - Are you drinking plenty of water still? You need to keep yourself hydrated with the new exercise routine etc, and another thing is, try and have at least 5 syns a day, give your body some naughtiness a day - Your syns are there to be used - I know you love your weekly syns and it's great but try at least 5 syns a day.

At the end of the day you're still doing absolutely fabulous! You do right as well to stick at the exercising. If you leave it too late you'll end up struggling to tone up (Like me!)

Have a great treat night tonight xxx

Oh poor you - I've been there and know how sh*te it feels. We all know that if we stick to it, eventually the loss will catch up but it's so hard to stick in there and be patient and think long-term ourselves, even if it's so easy to tell other people!
There are so many reasons this could've been, and all of them are temporary, so hang in there and you'll do it! (or rather, you already have done it, but you'll SEE it!) *hugs* xxx

Aw Bev, that sucks. It's so gutting when you've been sticking to it religiously and doing more exercise etc, and you really deserve a good loss. As others have said, I'm sure different scales will have played a part in, as would *week and all the exercise so I'm sure there's a bigger loss just waiting around the corner. Even changes in lifestyle can affect weight loss so your new job and getting up extra early might even be partly to blame. But I think you were quite justified in being p!ssed off, I know I would be too! You've definitely got a great attitude towards it tho - have a rant but not lot it throw you off plan, after all perseverance is the key to success, right? You've done so well, I've absolutely no doubt that your gonna kick that scale's ass next week!!! xxx

Well I'm coming back to minis with my tail between my legs today. For the first time since I joined SW I had a complete unplanned blow out. Okay it wasn't anything compared to my pre-SW days, but I managed to scoff a muffin, cookie and some chocolate buttons over the course of the day, ugh!

I don't know why either. I just wanted a day off counting calories and syns. A day of eating what I fancied rather than what I was meant to. Anyway, its behind me now and I'm back on the wagon. The worst part is that I don't even feel guilty, my metabolism is obviously crazy low at the moment so hopefully the extra cals will help boost it a bit so I can come out with a loss this week.

Getting so frustrated with the small losses now. I try and put it behind me but its obviously in the back of my mind and I don't feel in a good place. Dreading the scales next week already... :/

You dont need to count calories babe, follow the plan and relax :(
Your 'blow out' was nothing though :p seriously! And we all know your loss was crap because of water retention from *week, you'll be happy as larry next week, but I totally understand your frustration.
I watch a tv show called "I used.to be fat"- they make these teenagers burn 7000 calories at the gym when they are morbidly obese and on a strict diet- the point of it is to get a calorie deficit, that is the way you lose weight BMR is to show us HOW to get a defecit, if our BMR is 1800 calories a day/12600 a week then we need to eat 3500 calories less than that a week to lose a pound. The bigger the defecit, the bigger the loss, that is the basic science of weight loss. Your body is full of extra hormones right now and carrying loads of extra water to compensate for blood loss and all that periody fun going on inside you, try not to panic about a small loss :( besides, the scales between groups could be half a stone out too.

When I started to plateau after my 3st award I started just doing red days and that first month of Red I lost a stone! Takes some getting used to but once you do it isnt too bad. Green days are worse for my losses than over synning now. X

You know what, you may be pleasantly surprised come weigh in. I did this a few weeks before xmas, didn't go crazy just had a bit or a lot more chocolate than I should have but I was concious at the time that my losses were slow. Anyway, I suppose it was a sort of experiment plus I wanted it. I had it+didn't feel guilty which is a first for me. This is coming from soneone that's only just in recovery from an ED. Come weigh in day, I'd lost 5 pound. Couldn't believe it, got on+off the scales about 10 times but still said 5 off. That is the biggest loss I've had on sw apart from my first week. It's not happened again but I'm hopeful, lol. Our bodies need a shock sometimes+like you said, your metabolism seems to be slow at the moment so this may be the shock it needs to carry on xx

I am glad you don't feel guilty.... why should you feel guilty.... you weren't snacking on someone's children.... it was just some food... xx

You know, sometimes we forget this. Thank you for the reminder :)

Just came across this blog where a woman experimented in only eating Superfree and Speed foods for a week (inc 3 days of ONLY super free) - http://myweightlossdream.co.uk/my-slimming-world-fast-track-super-speed-food-week/ she lost 8lbs! It's totally extreme and I'm not suggesting you do it or anything, but I think it's a good example that low calories does work, it shouldn't be something you fight against if that's naturally how your days are working out. She averaged around 800 cal a day and what a loss! I'd probably go out of my mind eating only superfree though, sheesh!

Just a quicky update, will try to get back to everyone properly later.

The weekend was a total write off, didn't really eat too badly yesterday but wasn't on plan. It's the start of a new week now though and I'm determined to get back to basics with SW. Hoping for a 100% on plan day today and determined to succeed!

Happy Monday everyone xx

Sorry to hear that you lost focus, was that out of frustration from the slow loss? :(
I bet you'll still get a good loss at next WI and it'll just show quite how much is down to your cycle rather than the habits of that week. You may have lost 4lbs last week but just had so much water that it looked like a 0.5 loss, which once the water is flushed out will reveal your nice loss despite being a bit off plan (hopefully!!) x

hey hun - not posted in a while (been poorly) and thought it was well overdue for me!

how are you feeling today? better after having relaxed the plans a little? hope so!

you have done so well babe you need to look at the BIG picture! nearly 5 stones gone (and I know how that feels!!)

all the little losses do add up and the little treats every now and then keep you sane!

Sending you a hug, and a smile - have a great day x

Keep to it.
My weekend was a complete right off and I haven't even been on plan that long but I just find it very difficult when I'm socialising and wine and naughty stuff is all around me.
Well done for getting back on plan xx
