hi all. this is my first minimins post! i have just ordered meal replacements and think i will start next monday. question is what does everyone say to friends relatives and work colleagues? do you say what you are doing or disguise it? I am worried that this will be another failed plan...... I've had a few over the years!

Hi, good luck for your start. I' m just heading into my 3rd week. Suppose it's what you feel is best about other people and who will be supportive. I waited a week to tell close family and a few friends, including a few close work friends. Other than that don't plan to tell everyone at work. I've been going out for walks at lunch. Made the soups as cup-a-soups a few days, but second week didn't feel I needed anything at lunch, so just had coke zero after walk at desk- people just assume I'm eating whilst out.

Do what you feel comfortable with. I've told people as it has come up and the response has been good. I've actually discovered that people don't care what you eat. I cook for people as part of what I do for a living and sit down at the table with them and have whatever pack - I say I am on a diet and they don't give it another thought or comment.

Thanks for that. Good idea re the walks. It's good to hear you can have diet coke. I've not received my guide book yet so not sure what is allowed and not.

It is only specifically coke zero though, or anything without citric acid ( which isn't very much) as that will knock you out of ketosis.
