Getting some SS sample plans

    I am new here, 28 year old male from Dumbarton, Scotland. I am 6'2, 22 Stone, And looking to get down to about 17 stone. I have got away with my weight for a while due to my height and build, but now its getting too noticable, so I want to do something about it. I have heard from a few people that the SS diet is a great plan to follow, can someone please tell me about the diet, and maybe a sample weekly plan that you would typically follow? My main problem is my motivation, I have not got a motivated bone in my body to diet, I have tried a few times, but I just cannae do it :p hopefully after joining here someone will give me some motivation? :) sorry for the big long story guys.....

    Hiya Martin, Nice to see somebody on this board.
    Scottish Slimmers is very similar to weight watchers. You get a certain amount of checks in accordance with your weight. 1 check is worth around 25 cals. As well as your daily check allowance you have an allowance of milk and fruit that you can have each day above that. There are loads of recipes in the plan and they are all check counted and generally serve 1. You can follow the plan 2 differant ways. Check counting or not basically. I check count and keep to my daily check allowance. The other way you take your basic three meals form the plan and have an allowance of extra checks depending on your weight that you can "spend".
    You can go to classes or follow it on line. They have a website, so if you wanted to check that out, it will give you a lot more info. Its quite a good plan as you really dont need to go hungry if you use your check count up wisely.
    This has been my day foodwise for today. I'm on 55 checks

    special K(30g) and skimmed milk(150ml)
    7 checks
    banana and muller yoghurt
    8 checks

    Low fat crisps 3checks

    Egg Mayo Sandwich
    10 checks
    Orange from my allowance nil

    Dinner tonight

    Spag Bols 15 checks
    Apple from allowance nil
    Low fat custard and a low fat cake slice
    6 checks
    That will be 39 leaving me with 16 to spend tonight. I get the munchies in the evenings so thats where I spend most of my checks
    Oh for got to say your check allowance goes down by 5 every time you lose about 2 stone.

    Ah cannea bloody count, I've only got 6 checks left!!!!
