Ha ha - I like the nickname thanks! Fingers crossed for you this week..... I do think if you've stayed the same for a number of weeks and remained on plan you deserve a nice big loss, but in the grand scheme of things any loss is a good loss! Stick with it and you'll be rewarded eventually :)

I have Just Dance 2, I love it. I had a pretty busy week so hadnt had a go all week, but really enjoyed a few songs this morning. It makes me laugh too, plus I like the variety of the carnival type songs, oldies and newer stuff! Fitting in a few songs here and there all adds up :)
 
Oh yes, I loved my bisto -mmmmmm!

Monday 4th April:
B- Grapes, yellow plums and vanilla quark cream
D- Vegetable soup, low cal hartleys jelly (0.5syns)
snacks- kiwi, banana, 2 scan bran (HB), skimmed milk latte (HA)
T- pasta, 113g prawns (HB) and homemade tom sauce with parmesan (HA 18g)
snacks- vlf fromage frais, strawberries, highlight hot choc (3syns), mini ritter sport chocolate (4.5syns)

Exercise-40mins walking
Syns-8
Not quite had my full amount of HA/HB, but this is very unusual for me so I'm not too worried about it.

Hello, I love the cake, you have done a fab job! I hate making 3D cakes, far too much faff (and far too many cake offcuts that have to be eaten ;) ) so tend to make regular round ones and just do a flat design on top!

I got the red velvet and chocolate heartache book for my birthday! haven't attempted any of the recipes yet but the pictures are serious food porn. Gotta love cake :)
 
Oh please can I be the first to know if you make anything from the red velvet book !!!! Its got fab reviews on amazon, I cant wait to get myself a copy.

I know what you mean 3D cakes are definitely a faff. My hubby took care of alot of the cut offs- I made a chocolate trifle with Baileys and ambrosia chocolate custard. I tried a little spoonful and it was divine. There are still plenty of off cuts that need eating but I'm not having it!

Thanks both! I think its a gain. I'm starting to feel bloated for TOTM and also feel that all the scan bran on the weekend havent quite done their job (sorry if thats too much info!).... I'll try to stay positive but I think it'll be a gain, just hope its as small as possible :)
 
Well I gained 1.5lb :( I seem to be gaining one week and losing the next but so long as I'm losing more than I'm gaining I guess thats ok.

In good news my power of positive thought worked a treat on the raffle :)

Next week is a challenge wednesday I have a chocolate workshop for the evening (making an easter model, tasting and making truffles) and then thurs/fri I'm making and icing a cake for a colleague again!!!!

I think its time to really make some lovely foods to eat, although I'm going to be busy enough in the evenings anyway. Big effort to keep my syns lower than normal too. I've pledged to lose 3lb this week which will be the 1.5 gain from this week and another 1.5, fingers crossed :)
 
Aw, bad luck with the gain x it sounded as though you had such a good week. How annoying when things don't go to plan. Hang in there and go for that big loss next week when hopefully the scan bran will have done its job (!) and TOTM will be over. On the plus side, hope you got some decent booty in the raffle!
 
Hi hun, sucks about the gain but you know you can shake it off over the next week.. I'm sure there's a lesson to be learnt about buttercream here somewhere, but it might take more than this to put you off, I know it does for me ;)

Here comes another buttercream challenge this week and this time I'm going to beat it!
 
You are still doing well and so much better than before you joined group, just need to now to keep at it.

HOW are you going to cope with the buttercream challenge?

If I am attempting to not go mad on the buttercream I can not even have one tiny taste becuase I talk my self into a little case to check it is ok and 5 minutes later i am drunk on sugar !

How about only icing when very full of good food? or after brushing your teeth? Or while chewing gum so it will taste odd????

Let me know how you do?

Sometimes i offer myself a reward if i don't eat the icing or the cake batter?

I know how hard it is.

Hello

Well, funny you should ask how I'm going to do it! I've thought that having my tea first and chewing chewing gum throughout is going to be the best way forward.

I'll probably make it tomorrow, while the cake is cooking and pop it in the fridge ready for the doing icing on friday night. I dont think I really need to taste it at all as it'll be the same recipe as last week. I'm making chocolate buttercream again but to be honest it wont need a taste test. Thats the plan.

Meanwhile the chocolate workshop tonight has tastings so I'll be counting 3syns per square that I try. Will overestimate best I can, but I have no idea what to expect. We'll see :)

B-pineapple, plums, kiwi, orange, apple and yog
D-mixed beans in sauce (baked beans, butter beans, chickpeas, kidney beans, passata, h/m pasta sauce).
snack- 2 fibre one bars, milk in tea (HB HB HA), more fruit
T- rocket, 3 quorn sausages and 41g cathedral city lighter (HA)
at chocolate tasting- 6 choc buttons (4syns)
later- 1 mini green and blacks (4syns), 1/2 chocolate bunny figure (30g 7.5syns)
will work out syns later, v busy day ,lots of driving, v tired.

Thurs
B-weetabix, milk (HA HB)
snack- fruit, fibre plus bar (HB)
D- mixed beans, chilli philli (71g HA), ryvita minis (5syns)
T- savoury rice, sweetcorn and peas
snack highlights (17g 3syns), vlf fromage frais.
treat- mars bar ice cream from multipack (7 or 7.5syns, I cant remember!)
35mins walk

I'm so proud! I've just made my cake and not had any cake batter or any buttercream :) :) :) Phew!
