Gobsmacked!

I'd be the same Jezzi; if anything happened to any if my pets I'd be just heartbroken; I probably wouldn't be able to go to class & talk about it without bawling! Fair play to the lady going to class to get back on track even when SW is probably the last thing on her mind.

I'm sure it was meant in a playful way, but if someone said that to me after my pet just died I honestly don't think I'd go back :(

It doesnt make it better, but she wouldnt have heard it... It was a confession..

Trust me she did!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and luckily enough she was surrounded by SUPPORTIVE friends, maybe some empathy may be in order, or when you turn around you may find yourself on your own, Karma??

As a new member of the website I hoped I was going to get friendly support & tips but reading Gazter's comments maybe I won't. Everyone's journey is different and it is very easy to hurt people's feelings laughing at their expense. Karma will get you in the end

Gazer is usually very helpful, and has been a wonderful resource to a lot of newer users - myself included. He was obviously having an off day. Don't be too hard on him.

This, plus he has a very dry sense of humour which may loose something in translation!

It takes all sorts I guess.

You'll find loads of supportive people on here.

I'm sure it wasn't meant in a malicious way, we're a friendly helpful bunch here on Minimins so I don't think it was intended to hurt anyone's feelings.

Back on topic, I do think that you get some bullshitters in SW. A lady in our group last week who is very slim and I'm surprised she has even a stone to lose proceeded to tell everyone how she had two Toby carveries, a few bottles of wine and lots of chocolate and was shocked to see she had only lost 2lbs. I think you'd need to invoke a psychologist to see why people feel the need to tell everyone they are not sticking to plan/how much sh1t they can eat and still lose weight. Frankly I don't believe it and think it's just a competitive thing. That's why I'm pleased for other people when they lose but have very little time for people who insist on going off plan (allegedly) and like to boast about it.

ROFL!!! I love this, you are so right though i think every group has it Bullshitters lol xxx

Ive moved groups and am so happy with my new one...it shows in my last 2 weeks WI's!

A good group makes such a difference, it took me 3 tries to find this one and its a 15 min drive away from home but its all worth it. So what Im trying to say is,if you don't like your group find another one. It'll be worth it.

Like the other members have already said, Gazter is one of the most vocal and helpful members on here and as Kingleds said his sense of humour can be a bit dry. Trust me, he's a good guy as we all are - he didn't mean any harm by it - he was cracking a joke x

Stop being so precious. It was an instant remark that wasn't meant to be heard by others. At the time I was easily the biggest person in the room and was largely self deprecating in my humour.

I have done my best to contribute to this site, offer advice from my experience (and ask others for advice) especially towards those who are just starting out on their journey.

I do occasionally troll, but there we go.

At my class also, I'm the one who brings lots of food to the tasters, the one with new recipes, the one who tries to inspire others who had the same issues I had/have.

I'm sure gatzer has had things said about him/to him when he was at his biggest but whos had the last laugh he has for losing a lot of weight.:)

Yeah. To all you ugly people out there who used to call me fat. I've lost the weight, what are you going to do about your face?

It is getting a bit Alan partridge/Boris Johnson. I've upset scousers, dog owners and people who are worried that someone might be eating pork when they hold religious views that say they shouldn't.

Mate, as long as you steal clear of dwarf jokes you'll be okay in my book :)

First week of being on the social team for me, and had a really inspirational chat with my C, I love my group :)

I'm fairly average, but my youngest niece is a primordial dwarf
Has your niece been in magazines before? I recognise her in your avatar
