Gym Motivation needed!!

I'm in desperate need to get motivated to go back to the gym. I used to go 3 times a week, until December then I had a cold and ended up with a bad chest towards Christmas. So, I only ended up going about 3 times in total in December. It was only open a few days over Christmas, which I dragged myself there and then ended up clock watching and basically going through the motions. I forced myself to go last Monday and clocked watched again.

So I decided last night to get my gear out and with all good intentions go this morning, I set the alarm early. But, when I did go off, cos it so dark I just switched it off and went back to sleep.

Does anyone have any ideas to help please?

hmm...
alls i can think of is just imagine that it is hard work yes, but the results will be amazing and keep you healthy for longer.

also, is it just gym equipment you use? if so maybe try a class to spice up your workout a bit :)

another! music.... it helps so much. fill an ipod or mp3 with your fave songs, and just blast it on when using the machines. set little goals of not stopping until the song is finished :D

Do you get free assessments? Why not have one and get them to map out a new regime for you.

I'm on the look out for motivation as well.... its easy to hit the delete button on the alarm.

One way of looking at it is that I've got to get my money's worth.

Another is to look at all those calories I will burn.

Good music often helps ..... thanks for reminding me I must get my mp3 player set up

even i get bored on the treadmill, the only way i can do it is listening to music :)

I like to calorie chase on the cross trainer and bike becaue it makes the time go quicker if I'm in competition with something.
