Gym or swimming??? Sorry I know its been asked before

Hiya

Sorry I know its been asked before but I can't remember the answer :rolleyes:

I have a membership for the gym which has a swimming pool.I'm SS and have been doing since a week yesterday.

Which would be the best to go to ,gym or swimming? I also run round after the kids all day and work 4 evenings a week so don't wnat to go OTT

Also would it actually help my weight loss or just tone me up?

Hi hun it is not recomended to do too much new exercise when on cd ,I found going on my cross trainner too much ,I do now go swimming and find I feel a lot better .I go 2/3 times a week kids and work pemitting take it steady at first which ever you do and listen to your body xxx

Hey hun I would say swimming is probably better from experience, but if you normally worked out/swam pre-CD then just carry on with what you already do but just me aware of what your body is telling you. CD say preferably dont do any major exercise for the first 2 weeks. I have a feeling (someone correct me if I am wrong) that too much can actually knock you out of ketosis! If you are choosing between one or the other though I would say that swimming is better as it tones every muscle in your body even though you can work out at a slower pace and not put your body under as much cardio pressure!
