    Soooo I joined the gym this weekend for the first time ever... I am so unfit so it is going to be hard I think! I can barely walk 10 minutes without my leg muscles aching...

    Has anyone else been really unfit before joining the gym? How did it go?!

    You'll be surprised how quickly your body adapts! Whilst I don't do the gym, I've got equipment at home, and seriously struggled with 2 minutes on a cross trainer when I started, now I can do 30 mins straight and some serious exercise (weights, crunches, squats etc) with no problem, I went from nothing to about 45 minutes every day with not a lot of hassle, don't push yourself too hard, but remember when you start to struggle that's the work that counts the most and will cause your body to change.

    Thank you :) I started swimming on Monday and was happy with what I could do (even though I had to stop a lot!!) but it'll only get better I suppose!

    Hi, I've recently joined the gym and I am so unfit, I feel like I'm going to collapse half the time! Hoping it will get better!

    It will get better. I am really unfit too. But already I can feel the difference after a few weeks. With every exercise it's getting easier to perform.
