Healthy eating

First of all I must admit I am really enjoying eating the SW way and I take more time planning meals.
My query is are the packet meals(EG mugshots,Cous cous Pasta and rice) healthy choices with all the numerous additives etc in them?
Prior to starting SW I ate a reasonably healthy diet using as much fresh food as possible and avoided convenience foods. However I didnt lose weight so was doing something wrong.Any comments about these please?

I very very rarely use ready made meals...Including noodles and mug shots...I prefer to make things from scratch, but thats just me...Some people dont have time and if they choose ready made meals thats cool as you can still have them and be on track with SW.

You dont need to use the ready meals. I make my meals from scratch. The only tins I use are tomatoes and mushy peas. I thought I was eating a healthy diet before SW. Obviously not because now with SW world not only am I losing weight but my nails are longer, I can exercise longer and I dont need indigestion tablets anymore. My health is much better now.

I use the ready meals in moderation. It's nice that SW make these things "free" but I'm not going to pretend that they're all that healthy!

I don't use any pasta n sauces or mugshots, and i definitely wouldn't have one between meals as a snack.
I've got low fat noodles in the cupboard incase i need something quick.
I didn't eat those packets before so I'm not going to eat them now.
I use tinned beans, mushy peas, tomatoes and spaghetti in sauce, chilli beans though quite often.

This really is a useful forum and everyone is so helpful. I spend far too much time reading all the past information, but have learnt a lot about SW and really enjoy planning my meals.

I am enjoying SW because it has got me back into cooking from scratch - I was getting too used to buying ready meals and using my mircowave when I was on other diet's.

I really do enjoy my cooking and baking now - so does my family.
