Healthy Extras

I'm only a few days into SW but am finding it hard to work in healthy extra A choices.

I'm not much for dairy, I use a dash of semi-skimmed in my tea each morning (the morning's I find time to have a cuppa that is) and that's about my intake.

I'm not a fan of cheese, I can eat mozzarella or feta but would find it tricky to work them into my diet every day.

I was pretty surprised to find butter (or low fat spread) wasn't considered a HEXA choice if taken in lieu of cheese.

Butter wouldn't be considered a healthy extra because it doesn't contain the same levels of calcium that cheese does. The reason they're measured 'healthy extras' is because they provide nutrition and sadly, butter doesn't!

I hardly ever have my HEXA's and it hasn't affected my losses. Calcium is important tho but you cant get it from other sources like Mullerlights and some veggies. x

I'm just clutching at straws I guess, I haven't had bread in any form for almost 3 weeks and I'm almost over my cravings for it. I'm gonna reintroduce bread as a healthy option at some point and find a different way to moisten it up :)

I use some extra light mayo on my bread if I am making a sandwich. You can also buy butter buds from Lakeland which are just like butter but on 0.5 syns.

I normally grate some low fat cheese over my pasta dishes and have my other a choice as milk for tea. I measure it out in a jug and if i have lots left by the end of the night i make an options with the milk instead of water.
