hello minimins ...again ...hello cambridge ...again

Morning peep's,

I made it to double digit days - on day 10!!!

Yippeedooodedaaaaaaaaaa!

Dxxx
yayyy! go you! i really struggled yesterday - day 18!! cant tell you how close i came to opening chocolate digestives and quavers and ordering an indian takeaway and having a bottle of wine! but i didnt do it .... had couscous for supper instead followed by choccie mint bites and a coke zero. not quite the same but it did the trick.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I must admit I'm defo motivated but feel deprived when watching my hubby to be and kids scoff yummy food . Back on night shift tonight so bit worried about how to manage my products but im determined to be slim on my wedding day x

Woah! Are you me? I just read your first post and you're not the only one who's surprised at how quiet it is here compared to 2006!

I myself lost 3.5 or so stone in 2006 and was on here ALL THE TIME. I made a fair few diet friends actually. I wonder how they are all doing now.

I have returned about two or three times since and here I am again, up to my second heaviest at 12 stone 4lb (12 stone 7lb the first time). I have tried Exante with similar losses before (and it's cheaper) but I really wanted the added weekly support from a Cambridge Diet (sorry, Cambridge Weight Plan) person this time round. I tried SW last year. Somehow telling me I can eat all the pasta and potatoes I want doesn't seem to suit me!

We also have the same goal weight.

I started January 10th - 2 days after you. I'm 10 lbs down so far - a spectacular 9 lb loss week one then a measly 1 lb loss tonight.

Good luck and welcome back :)

I am on night shift at the min, and one of our patients family bought us all cakes . So im crying inside lol . I actualy went to pick a slice up and decided against it . But the temptation is killing me . Just goin to make my soup. :( hopefully i will make it till 8am without touching cake. X

hope you made it through sez. have to say i came very close to caving last night ...everything i tried to watch on tele involved food and i so desperately wanted a curry BUT i put on 'shut-ins' ( i think thats what its called ) about those poor supersuperobese ( actual medical term ) people who cant even go out of the house --- it made me cry but also watching the sheer volume of food it takes to 'satisfy' them suddenly made me not at all keen on the idea of a takeaway

anyway

it was my week three weigh in this morning and i am not joking when i say i was dreading it. i honestly felt like if i had STS i would have thought 'whats the point?' and had a mega binge

thankfully i actually lost another 3.5lb > so my losses are xmall compared to some peoples but theyre pretty consistent and for week three i have to say im mega pleased

im treating myself to a slim line tonic tonight and ill pretend its got gin in it : )

hope everyone elses day is going well xx

hiya jubbly

i am still friends with a few of the old minimins crowd on facebook but have forgotten what their nicknames on here were

i also tried exante and actually liked their products BUT i had no accountability - i need to report to someone each week in order to stick to this ...so thats why i am back on cambridge . also my cdc is a hypnosis therapist too so i am hoping she can help me with controlling my portions once im onto maintenance cause ive always felt safe and managed the actual diet easily i just slip up mega big time once i THINK i can go back to normal eating

anywa my poor dogs got his legs crossed dying for a wee so i better go

happy weekend to you all

Hi everyone :)

hope you don't mind me joining in! I wanted to join in as I am starting CWP tomorrow (for the 3rd time). I did it back in 2014 and lost 3 stone in 12 weeks, maintained my lovely figure for about 18 months, then gained a bit, so tried again, didn't stick to it, and now 2019 here I am, very overweight (obese) and about 7 stone to lose!!

I will be going onto step 2 because I work 12+ hour shifts, a lot of the time of my feet so I'll need the extra 200 calorie food.

I am a bit nervous of failing. even though its only me who can control what goes in my mouth, I am very much an emotional eater. good day, celebrate with food. bad day, drown my sorrows in food! its ridiculous and I've had enough of hiding away being single and not socialising with people.

hoping this forum will keep my accountable!

A xx

hi genie - of course youre welcome to join in - the more the merrier
i so identify with the emotional eating thing - - sad or upset? cheer myself up with a treat
happy or celebrating? celebrate with food and drink

im also very all or nothing which is why i can do this diet but fail when back on normal food ---- have to find a way to stay stable this time - - i was eating a meditterannean diet before i decided to go back on cambridge - whole foods nothing processed and mostly veggie ..beans pulses rice and grains and veggies with lots of olive oil but no dairy - and that suited me but i couldnt get my portion sizes under control and was drinking way too much alcohol as id had a really horrible year
id like to be able to eat that type of food again but just learn when to stop AND stop using food and alcohol as emotional support

anyway

time for my chocolate mint bites and a cuppa before bed with a book ---- i know how to rock it on a friday night lol

good luck for tomorrrow hun - as you know get the first few days under youre belt and youll have it cracked x

Well Slushy I do have trouble with going and occasionally get stomach ache. Constipation is maybe due to struggling with the water drinking but been better today. (with the water). I didn't know there was a specific fiber belonging to CD. I think I might ask about that on Monday when I go for my weigh in. I think it might help me. What is the slimatee and where do you guys get it from. I have never heard of it. I downloaded an app on my phone today to remind me to drink. I think its quite good and I hope it will guilt me into drinking far more than I do now. I get busy at work and just forget to drink all morning. Sheila x

Hello 😁

Hope its ok to join in, I started cwp on the 9th January 18lb down in first two weeks, week 3 weigh in tomorrow.

Not attempted a diet in years but feel determined to make 2019 the year I get healthy not only for myself but for my children.

I'm SS and so far so good but sometimes feel quite overwhelmed by how much I have to lose.

slimatee is from holland and barratt hun.
having said that .. it worked for me once ..since then its had no effect at all - i even had two tea bags in my tea last night instead of one and nothing happened. mind you i am going to delay walking the dog for a bit just in case lol

hi cbear of course youre welcome to join in. good luck for yur weigh in today - id say youre over the hardest bit now. week three and four is when the whole thing has really become a habit and routine . dont feel overwhelemed - break it all down into smaller goals. my first goal was to just manage to stick to plan for a month. that will be this coming friday. my second goal was to be in the 11s ..theres a small chance i could achieve that one on friday as well but we will see. when i get to 11st im treating myself to a silver necklace so that will be goal number 3>
can i also say dont compare your losses or journey to anyone elses. i joined the 1:1 facebook group but found myself a bit demontivated when people were posting 10lb losses and i was only losing 3 or 4lb. even though i know its because they had probably got twice as much as me to lose and also i had really been eating low carb before i started .
just keep your head down.. do it your way ..believe in yourself.
we can do this .. once and for all. i am so determined to wear summer clothes this summer and not look a fool walking round in long sleeves and baggy jeans trying to hide myself.

Thanks Slushy you will have that necklace before you know it. I am going to set myself mini goals. 5.75lb off week three so I'm into the 16's 😁...next goal into the 15's.

Hi guys I am starting SS 3 products a day..

Today has been ok, managed to battle thought giving the kids pizza for tea, looked so yummy but I resisted. I am dreading tomorrow

I did not like the porridge or the bolognase really so that’s a bit worrying. Anyone tried the Mac and cheese?

hi lucy i havent tried teh mac and cheese but thats cause i dont like real mac and cheese so i didnt fancy a fake one : )
i quite like the chicken tikka, spag bol and couscous - wasnt keen on the thai green curry. im also not a big fan of the porridge.

hope todays going ok for you. i had a bit of a victory this morning - - - i had to tuck my tshirt into my jeans in order to keep them up!! woopwoop

LucyFF - Welcome and good luck! I have only tried the shakes and the bars so far. Chocolate mint shakes are yummy, these are the only ones I have tried to far. Bars I've tried and loved have been chocolate orange, white chocolate and raspberry, peanut butter, chocolate caramel, strawberry jam - there might be more but I've forgotton! Think a lot of it is trial and error, some people love some products and others hate them.

slushy - Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to the NSV!

I had a dream last night that I could close my jacket over my belly, extremely disappointed when I got up and couldn't LOL.

so hows everyone doing?

was week four weigh in for me this morning . it hasnt been the best of weeks for water intake for me as i have got builders electricians pumbers plasterers and central heating engineers all over my house ... the stress the noise and the mess and a killer and ive just forgotten to drink as much as i should.

however!!! ta-dah! 16lbs off in four weeks and im thrilled. i was always going to be satisfied with a stone off and i got a bit of a bonus. im about a third of the way to my target woopwoop

my cdc never took a huge number of mesurements but ive lost about 9 inches from teh places she did measure. however i can really feel losses right under my boobs - the midriff roll of fat has shrunk and also the bulgy bits inside of knees. i can cross my legs better.

so yes - a good day for me - hope youre all doing well.

Hey slushy,

Yay to the fact that you can feel a difference, I still can't yet!

16lbs is an amazing loss - well done!!!
