Hello new weight loss blog :D

Morning :)

Well when I went home on Friday and weighed myself I had lost 3lbs :D ha. But then weighing myself every day, or most days anyway, will make my weight seem to go up and down, so I need to take more notice weekly rather than daily... So I'll see what I weigh this Friday. The Wii Fit isn't totally accurate I am sure, but it's a good idea of what's going on, and since I hate weighing myself on the scales then this is a good way for me to do it, ha.

I have been doing well and just cutting down how much i eat, sticking to eating just when I am hungry, so that's bound to have a good difference on my weight :) and i am finding the jogging and exercises easier on the Wii Fit :)

There is a Wii Fit Plus coming out at the beg of next month, so I am looking forward to that and there are more 2 player games too :)

Well I had a good weekend, and food wise I did well, we had nachos last night though for tea :S which were covered in cheese! but that was my treat, am not too worried about those as I was really good the rest of the time.

Oh I didn't mention the soup! It was nicest bestest soup I've ever had!! hehe. It was soooo yummy! and I plan to make it again, it was very healthy and tasty, and Jamie loved it too and we fought over the last bit of it, hehe :) Was nice with the ginger and garlic. So I am going to experiment with some different soups i think, as that was a success and they are easy enough to make and healthy :)

ooh, sling me the recipe :)

i still haven't made soup even though i now have a fridge full of ingredients... may have to get onto that tonight!!

Oh the receipe is at home :S So i shall have to post it later as I can't remember how much of things you need... but it was really easy to do, so i'll put it up when i get home :)

I fancy doing a mushroom one now :) I need to find a receipe for that though, am sure there will be one online, or i have some veggie cookbooks i should look through...

What soup you gonna make? a vegetable one?

yup yup. i have carrots and leeks and potatoes and nice stock, might put some more adventurous veg in it too if i feel like it, but to be honest i just like the carroty, potatoey gloopy stuff in winter :)

Well... my mind isn't as in it as it was :S which is worrying me! I can't give up now! I haven't totally lost it, but I am starting to sneak things in like a Snickers, and cheese... bad!

I've had a completely good day today though, I've had an apple for lunch, and I got a coffee from Costa but got it with skimmed milk, so i thought there... and then for lunch I had egg mayo and tomato in brown with no butter.

Tonight we're having frozen pizza, we buy the really cheap margareta's for 99p for a big one and add our own toppings :) So we have some stilton, asparagus, mushrooms and half fat mozerlla, so i usually make my half half more veg and less cheese, so i think that's ok :) the pizza base itself is only 7% fat, but then the extra cheese... but as i said i put less on my side. So that's good, I am happy with that.

Ohhhhh and I bought a pumpkin :D :D I am sooo excited! i am gonna carve it tomorrow evening :) I don't think it will be anythign ellaborate though :S Oh actually I have no tea lights left... i need to get some tomorrow...

I've been looking at pumpkin curry receipes online too, there are some nice ones so i'll see what Jamie says since he wants to make it :)

Right well I feel more in the zone today than i did yesterday, so that's all good. I think it's easier to eat better when you plan, so i am :)

Soup receipe as promised :)

Creamy Butternut Squash soup

Ingredients
700g butternut squash, unpeeled and deseeded
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, unpeeled
2.5cm root ginger, peeled and chopped
2tbsp olive oil (I used fry light)
600ml hot vegetable stock
3 tbsp half fat crème fraiche

Method
1. Preheat oven to fan 200 degrees C / 400 degrees F / gas mark 7. Cut the butternut squash into chunks and place in a roasting tin with the onion, garlic, ginger, and oil. Add salt and plenty of ground black pepper. Mix well. Bake for 20 -25 minutes or until the squash is tender.

2. Slip the garlic from their skins and place in a food processor with the other vegetables and half the stock. Blend until smooth puree has formed. Add the remaining stock and blend again.

3. Transfer the soup to a large pan, add the crème fraiche (make sure you don’t add too much as I think I did and it was a bit sickly, would have been nicer with 2 spoonfuls I think) and gently reheat until piping hot. Adjust the seasoning to taste and serve.

Ta-da :D it's yummy :D

so from that you leave the skin on the butternut squash?

it sounds divine and i really want to make it now. looks really healthy too :)

Ah yeah as I was typing it out I noticed it said that :S I didn't though! So I am not sure about that, I thought I would type it as it is... does the skin go soft? I hadn't cooked Butternut squashes before so I have no idea!

It is sooo nice :D really yummy. And you don't even need to creme freache in it, it is creamy with it, but without it's still really nice. The ginger and roasted garlic work really together :)

Well.. I am having a feeling huge day :( and we have loads of people coming over for Halloween tomorrow and we're meeting more people in town later on :S and I just don't feel like socialising when I feel so fat! gah. I was sad last year on Halloween as I was big and my fancy dress hippy dress was tight :( but this year I am about another stone heavier :( oh dear.

Annnyway. Abi's been wonderful and helped me with an outfit, so at least I feel better about that as it hides my tummy quite well :)

Days like this do help spur me on though... I have just had an apple for breakfast and avoided anything else, so I shall have a good day today and get on the Wii fit when i get home.

Jamie's making a pumpkin curry for tea, and we'll have rice instead of Naan bread with it, so that's good. And tomorrow I shall have to be good with food since i'll be having extra calories in this spiced apple punch I'm doing. I know I can do ok, I just wish I was thinner for tomorrow! gah.

Anyway! I'lll stop moaning now!

Hope everyone has a good Halloween :)

hey babes. you are going to look absolutely stunning :) i promise. i know. i know what you look like :p

you could of course go out in your bridesmaid dress :D hee. but i don't think it would last very long :S

Made pumpkin soup last week (then carved the pumpkin shell - what a child!!!) The soup was fantastic (made with pumpkin, onion carrot, paprika ginger and black pepper). Yum-yum-yummy-yum-yum!!!!

I tried to find one in ASDA tonight and not one to be seen so I got butternut squash and sweet potato instead x

Ok update, so how am I doing... not too great, gah. Well not as well as I was :( Not sure why... I think the weekends I find hard to be good really. We had a lot to drink so lots of calories and we went out for pub food Sunday :S

Today i've had my breakfast though so will be full til lunchtime. Then i'll go to Pret for lunch i think. So i think i'll be ok today, and i have apples for snacks.

Not been on the Wii Fit either :S need to get onto that. We seem to be so busy on our evenings though and we're away at the weekend.

Oh well, I am getting there, not sure how my next Weighing will go though :S will see.

you are doing so much better than you were babes. making much healthier choices the majority of the time. i'm sure you must feel better in yourself. hopefully the scales will back that up :)

Hi Bon - Hope you are having a great day x

Well I had an ok day yesterday, not brilliant though... I had a quorn chicken breadbun for breakfast, was meant to be my dinner but i was hungry and it was better than the snack machine. So for lunch I got a brie sandwich which isn't good :(

And then i had a pint of cider in the pub, should have gone for a diet coke really...

For tea we had a mushroom pasta in sauce packet with added quorn pieces and sweetcorn :) so that was yum and healthy :) So humm so not as good as i would of liked but ok really.

This morning i've had a cup of tea and an apple. Lunch I have another Quorn chicken sandwich which i'll save til lunch time, hee.

So i should do better today. I have some mixed nuts to nibble on too so that's healthier than crisps and things from the machine :)

We're going to a bonfire tonight :D I hope they have some jacket potatoes :D if not i'll do them for us when i get home, you have to have hot potatoes on bonfire night :D
