Help - day 1 on lipotrim

Hi all, well i am on day one of lipotrim, had the vanilla for breakfast, must admitt it never tasted great and the soup for lunch which was awfull and i've been starving, have sinned tonight and had an omlett now feel bad but going to try again tomorrow with the strawberry and chocolate - any advice be great... So tired and got a banging head ache..

So sorry to hear you are finding it tough.
Now, get your head in gear....you obviously must have thought about the diet and how it works.....you have gone and bought the shakes, which arent cheap, eh! Now, you can do it!! You have had a wee blip, but pick yourself up.

How are you making up your shakes and soup?

I will tell you what I have, but others have totally different combinations.
As soon as I get up I reach for the water, the sooner the better, then I get my quota in for the full day. I have a strawberry shake, but I get around 12-15 ice cubes and crush them in a blender...like a slush puppy!! then with the shake and around 200ml of water, whisk it all up again....it is a bit thicker, but it is nice.

Lunch I have at work and use the on the go shaker that you should be able to get at your pharmacist...and I just have that with ice cold water, around 250ml and this is choc.

In the eve, I swap between strawberry, choc or soup. The soup, I blend in my blender with around 400ml of hot water (from the kettle), whisk it up, then I pop it in the micro for around 40 secs.

Lots of people have different cominations with their shakes and I am sure they will tell you.

Just keep drinking, drinking, drinking the old O2 juice! Have black coffee, tea and peppermint tea as well.

I wish I could say it is easy; it isnt, but the weight loss is incredible and you will get more and more motivated by the amount you will lose. No other diet will offer you this.

You have got to be 100% committed sweetie...just keep your goal in mind. You need this so much. It isnt instant - oh, if only! But, it is fast and you will get there in the end.

Just keep jumping on here for help and inspiration.

By the way, you will be tired for the first few days, say Day 4 once you get to ketosis! Just take it easy...and ENJOY your food holiday...dont be negative either....just keep yourself positive.

Welcome to the team !!

1. make sure you drink the water - i got terrible headaches at the begining.
2. tiredness - my tiredness didn't go until after day 7. (a full week) This only went when i got into ketosis.
3. starving - this again will go when you get into ketosis. i have the odd minute or two of hunger - but then have a drink and it goes altogether.

You must keep focussed on why you started this in the first place and that should get you through those awful first few days. Stay out of the way of temptation - i know easier said than done !! (i have 2 small kids):family2:

Take each minute at a time and before you reach for the handle on the fridge, or the bread bin, have a large glass of water and contemplate your decision.

Good luck, and remember - you can do it, otherwise you wouldn't have made this choice in the first place.

Thanks guys, will try again tomorrow, have mixed my milkshakes with water think about 250ml, have brought a shaker tonight so will try the stawberry one in the morning and choc one for dinner.

Does anyone make the mouse.?????

i agree with scotsmist. loads of crushed ice and they taste so much nicer, black pepper and cayenne pepper in the soup mmmmmmmmm lovely, must admit the flapjacks are an aquired tase but good for days out shopping when you can't mix the shakes.

Your better off putting water in your shaker, putting the shake in on top and blending with a hand blender... much nicer.. then add ice cubes too if needed.. I usually mix a spoonfull of coffee in a small sup of cold water and then add it in and blend that in too and they do be lovely...

same with the soup, put in shaker or bowl and use your hand blender... or if i am in work i just mix it with a spoon but dont think everyone would like it like that as it is a lot thicker but I love the soup any way....

just drink loads of water then and some black tea is good too for something hot..

I have tried the mousse, and liked it. I have it when i need to eat with a spoon!!. But, I only use about 50ml, choc with a splash of coffee.

I do tend to stick with the shakes though.

My first few shakes were mixed in a jug with a hand whisk and I could never get the lumps out and it they never seemed to have the right texture, which I really believe (especially now with hindsight) makes a lot of difference.

If it's any help, I bought a Cookworks smoothie maker from Argos for under a tenner (half price) which also crushes ice, and does the job perfectly if a little noisily. It's not quite as good for mousses but it still does a good enough job.

welcome and best of luck with the first week. Nothing really left to add, take all the good advice given above by all the other LTers and you will do very well. Come on here as often as you can and soon the first week will be gone and we will all look forward to hearing how the weight loss has gone. Best of luck.

Scotsmist is right (IMO) the more crushed ice, the thicker and nicer the shakes - especially choc and strawb, and if you add a little coffee to your vanilla one :)

Good Luck, and honestly it does get better x

Im on day 2 and also found the vanilla shake a bit ewww but have just had my first shake of the day and have added a teaspoon of coffee to the vanilla and its tastes sooo much better :)!

hello all, It does get easier, and you think less and less about food. When I first started what helped me the most was this site, everytime i would want to cheat i would quickly go on it and all the necouragements made me want to stick to it and some advises like: you have made this decision, no one is forcing you to do it, you have paid A LOT OF MONEY, and others really helped. on my first time I lost 2stones ( incredible) EVERYONE is noticing the changes, i stopped for 4 weeks now back on it for my goal ( wedding on 15th august in Paris), so keep it up, IT IS REALLY WORTH IT.

struggling abit

hi guys, had a bit better day but now am struggling, the food in the cupboards is shouting out at me and i'm starving.... dying to cheat but got this far so cant... The strawberry is good and enjoyed the choc one, going to make the mouse now so am not tempted to eat...
Does not help when my little one is eating her tea and busicuits... need bit of encouragement...:(

Just keep drinking loads of water and you will be fine or a cup of black tea too...

Keep going, it gets much easier x

trust me dnt do it!

i made that mistake on friday - at the end of my first week on it (not coz i was tempted by food, but because i felt really faint and i thought it would help) it threw me off track for another 2 days, even though in that time all i ate was prawns, cucumber, and 2 small tins of ww soup, i sooo wish i hadnt done it!

im back on it as of yday morning, and i can honestly say i feel so much better. in my whole time on it i can honestly say i havent been tempted by food, but thats probably coz i havent got much of an appetite anyway

ice cold water will fill u up too!!
