    Who knows !!
Hi, I am waiting for my Exante packs to arrive but would like some advice in the meantime. I lost 5 stones last year with SW, have managed to put nearly 3 back on :cry:and need to get a grip before I put all 5 back on and some more with it.
Have decided to do Exante for at least 8 weeks (then on holiday for one week) and will then decide whether to keep going with it or go back to SW.
But, after being on it for 8 days I am away on a training course for 2 days where all food is provided - I feel that I will need to join the others at mealtimes as this will play a big part in the communication times during the 2 days - also have 2 weddings during the 8 weeks. I am not so much worried that these functions will effect my weight loss as I understand I will knock myself out of ketosis but just concerned that it won't do my body/determination any good - although I am going to be very careful what I eat on all of these occasions.
Do you think I should wait until after the 2 day course or just go for it for 8 days and then be careful.... Just seem to be in the right frame of mind at the moment so don't really want to put it off...... :(
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Could you stay low carb while you're away? If you can, then you could stay in ketosis (I did this when away on a cruise before Christmas and it worked really well, you can eat loads of different foods, just stay away from the high carb stuff).
It will take you about 4 days to get into ketosis, so not sure if I'd want to do that, be in ketosis for 4 days, come out of it, and then have to start again. It can be quite a tough few days for some, but it's up to you. If you've got the determination to get straight back on it after your time away, then maybe. Personally I think I'd wait till I got back, or stay low carb while away.
Good luck, whatever you decide :)

If you are not fussed about drinking alcohol at these events then just stay low carb, or even sit down with people at the meal but say you feel sick or something and then have your pack in private. It should be pretty easy to stay low carb, but if you do this don't drink alcohol cos you will most likley stay in ketosis and alcohol and ketosis do not mix! lol.

If you do wanna drink then I would say don't start till after the course as it won't be worth going into ketosis to come out of it again, and if you wanna drink at the weddings then just have normal carb meals on the day before and of so you are out of ketosis. Then just make sure you get straight back on the wagon!

Good luck whichever way you try xxx

I agree with the other replies, if you can eat low carb whilst you are away you will be able to stay in ketosis, i wouldnt fancy having to go through that process over and over again for the sake of a few meals over 2 days.

You could always take some bars with you to have instead of a breakfast and eat 2 low carb meals so you have one less meal a day to worry about?

    Good luck xxx
