help please

Im struggling to understand snack size portions?? For eg, i have just made up a salad of 3 slices of wafer thin turkey ham, 50g cucumber, 20g onion, 1/4 carrot and 30g salad leafs. I have made this up as my 2 snacks for tomorrow (mid morning and late afternoon) altogether the carbs add up to 6.8g. Have i done this right?

Im trying to keep my carbs down and according to the book it says an apple of 120g has 15 carbs! So if im doing the salad thing right i try it till i get bord. i must be doing summat right im only on day 2 and i stood on my scales and iv already lost 1.5kg (3.3lb) not bad going. :)
