I've read about people putting things in their soups etc like pepper, oregano, chilli powder etc but what about things like a bit of cinnamon or ginger in the shakes? Can we use them? Also what about paprika. Any help would be appreciated as I wanted a bit of vareity. Thanks

Hi cathy I only tend to eat the soup, but I think I messed up recently as I was putting in piri piri and thai spices but after reading the ingredients they contained lemon and orange something or other which can knock you out of ketosis. So just check what the spices really contain....BEWARE!:eek::) X

well i think paprika is from a chilli (so like chilli powder) and ginger i know is a root and cinnamon is from the bark of a tree so no fruit or flowers. I was just wanting to check before i tried them.

Cathy I only use hot chilli, paprika and pepper now. :)x

I have only used the dried stuff most of which is ok....and stayed in ketosis....
