Hev & Bev's 12 week countdown to target- Everyone welcome!!!

Oops forgot the point of posting here in my excitement about Hev.
I only lost a pound but very happy with that after what Paul has been feeding me.

I really don't know. It is probably quite obvious to all when I say that this weight gain came on whence I stopped smoking. (now done 8 months..woo-hoo!!).
I started craving salt, which came in the form of peanuts and peanut butter (straight out of the jar- no messing!!) So that has now (almost) worked it's way out of my system. My other problem is that I can drink more without feeling its effects....so I do seem to!! I, also seem to drop the weight on the four days I work,plus I tend to excercise much more too... and then compensate the three days I don't, with wine and generally socialising!! (more flaming fattening nibbles on the bar...umm, like peanuts!!)
However, next weekend, we are away for our 11th anniversary(all inclusive too otto!!) and as that was the reason forthe original target, and hasn't happened, I am starting a massive campaign with myself, when I get back, for my holiday to England in December.. I only want to lose half a stone, for godness sake. Please Hev, give me a massive kick up the bum..Please!! Mwah

Powla I'm convinced you're suffering from the same as I was with only 7lb to go!! Because you don't have much to lose, maybe the extreme urgency of the situation isn't there to motivate you like it was for me for the first few stone!! I played with the last 7lb for literally the last 8 months and wasn't getting anywhere!! Social occasions kept coming up and I was thinking, 'ya know what, I've done so well until now, what's another 7lb?! I'm going to eat what I want tonight- the 7lb can wait....' and it was this attitude that stopped my progress when really I wasn't satsified yet and underneath I had this burning desire to get to target yet something was stopping me!! It feels so good to be here- so liberating (but not too liberating I hope lol!!) that it is soo worth the effort! Just accomplishing what you want to achieve!! So maybe you need to have a zero tolerance with yourself for that last big push to target!! Get it into your head that you owe it to yourself to do this one thing!! Make a vow to yourself that you're going to do it! Write every single thing down that enters your mouth! Plan some meals ahead, even cook a batch of something to freeze so you always have something syn-free or low-syn to fall back on in times of need! Decide not to pick or snack between meals- have 3 satisfying meals a day and if you really have to snack, make it fruit or HEXs from your allowance! Use your syns on your favourite wine and savour every sip! If I can discipline myself to shift the last 7lb I've been struggling with so can you!! You'll enjoy the feelings of self-control and how empowering it can be!! But saying this, allow yourself treats, just within the boundaries of the plan! We all need boundaries!! what way does it work if you are sick and dont go to WI? do you get charged for a missed week next week?

Ninnins if you text your consultant a few hours before class (they say by midday but ours is more lenient) you can have a holiday week- you're allowed 6 HWs per year but if you're a shift worker you can have as many weeks off as you need as long as you inform your C in good time! X

Cool!! I wasn't very good with the before photos as like many I used to shy away from the cameras but I'm going to apply for the magazine!! (It's worth a shot anyway!!) so I'm going to try and pinch some Facebook pics from friends and put something together and obviously after photos aren't a problem! So watch this space!! I'm not a photo person full stop- far too self critical even now, but a photo-shoot would be pretty cool! I think it would help with my self-confidence!X
 
Im exactly the same! De-tagged myself in all the horrendous photos lol. Just think of the pretty dresses you would get to wear too!
 
Since im bored stupid i might have a trawl through fb and find some old minging photos to inflict on you lot. I actually like one that was put on of me this weekend! Shock horror lol

I am FINALLY getting round to having a little catch up on Mini's and have to say I'm impressed with everyone's effort in my absence! You little skinny mini's!

Hevs - I've already said it - but I'll say it again - WHOOOOOPPPEEEE - well done you! I knew it was coming soon - just didn't realise how soon that soon was! Well done lovely lady xxx

I am not sure if I checked in last week :eek: - if not it was a STS and this week I have LOST 2.5lbs! GET IN! I had a real hard push this week to try to get a decent loss in and it paid off! I was going to change my target to 10 stone but I think I'll leave it where it is for now (9st 10lbs) and see how this challenge goes! :D

those 2 lbs will be off before you know it!

i had an unoffical WI in my bathroom and i somehow have gone down, not quite sure how but ill not argue!

put me as a sts though until i get back to class next week for proper WI

Wow thanks Katerpoos!! I have had a think, and at one point I was quite close to changing my Target to 11 st/11 st 1lb because I was frustrated I wasn't getting down below that threshold!! However now I have persevered and actually done it (got to 10 st 10 lb- and actually quite quickly once I put my mind to it!) I am so glad I stuck to my guns because it now feels so much more of an acheivement to have reached the number I dreamed of from the very start!! So I say GO FOR IT!! It's amazing what you can acheive when you really put your mind to it!! And well done on a great loss this week! The hard push paid off!! Yayyy!!XXX

Thank you lovely Bev!! Needless to say I was thoroughly chuffed!! DH was in bed with manflu (such a tragic illness :8855:!!) but he was really pleased for me and did get up to give me a big hug and a smackerooni to say congrats!! I celebrated today with my best friend Lara at Franky & Benny's with a 2 courser then Ben & Jerry's icecream in the cinema- we went to see 2 films which we sometimes do for a real treat!! The first was the new Sarah Jessica Parker film 'I Don't Know How She Does It' which quite frankly wasn't very good at all, and the second was 'The Inbetweeners' which if you don't have it in Spain is a film that has been made off the back of a TV comedy series about teenage boys and their pubescent thoughts and 'stirrings'!! Very amusing and well produced!!

I'm sorry you were feeling so rubbish yesterday what with the worries about your Mum (you may have seen my post on your diary!) and the disappointment of the gain etc etc! Sometimes we have days or weeks like that where everything seems to be against us but I'm sure a lovely one is just around the corner to balance things out nicely again :p!

I'm not expecting much of a loss this week (mum wants to eat out too!), or the week after, or the week after that, too many friends wanting to visit us!

Commiserations Bev on your gain - it's certainly hard this close to goal - fingers crossed for a loss next week!
