Hey, Newbie with over 20 stone to lose

I still can't believe how well you have done. Are you enjoying the boxing in the garden?

I had a wobbly start due to personal issues going on right now and they will be ongoing for roughly 6-12 months so I know I have mentally long and difficult road ahead of me already. So last week I really got my head in the game and managed to loose the first 11lbs. Although I did mange to loose 3lbs prior to everything else. I should be joining a gym in the near future also as I don't mind it once I'm there. Its the thought of going which puts me off!

I'm loving boxing. I spar with my partner 3 times a day for 5 mins a time while I'm building up and totally love it. Wish I'd done it before if I'm honest. I crank up the music and punch to the beat. Got the idea off Obese: A Year To Save My Life because Jessie always gets them to do it rather than resistance training. I have pulled my shoulder out though so giving it a rest for a couple of days but tomorrow I'm back out the garden with the boxing gloves and music and I'm off again.

Had a lazy day today as I was reviewing Summer Drinks for a blog and kind of had one too many but been good all week so not feeling guilty and not going over the top today, just salad and a bit of chicken for tea and back on the wagon first thing tomorrow. Want to get as near to 7 stone loss as I can by the end of next month then I'm on target for 23 stone at Christmas and new outfits! YAY!

If you feel like you don't want to go Gamy, just get the boxing equipment and do a bit of shadow boxing - I've done that too when my man doesn't want to spar with me. Still works well. I'm excited to get down to the 23 stone as I want to then work out with the wii fit as I've got tonnes of stuff for that and never had the chance to use it.

Hope you're all having a lovely Saturday xxxx

Think of the special Christmas dress/outfit you can have, lovely :D Well done!!! :) Be careful if your arm doesn't want to work with you tomorrow - don't hurt yourself more hun :)

Sparing sounds fab! I love the idea of giving the other half a good bashing - especially if he's been annoying :D

Hope you had a good weekend :) x

lol, I've slipped a couple of times off the pad and smacked him in the tummy by accident... oops... I also think I've jarred his shoulders a couple of times punching too hard. I don't know my own strength sometimes.

As it's dreary weather here today I might do a bit of Wii Boxing (it's also the TOTM so feeling a bit eugh) but still need to get it done. Put on a couple of pounds of fluid which is always a pain as I bloat out like a blimp. Only lasts a couple of weeks thankfully so got to knuckle down and push through it. Seriously doubting I'll get a stone off this month as I've come off my Liraglutide so the blood sugar is doing a little bouncing about (although not too high but high enough for my body to dump a bit of sugar) but it'll settle down. I'll be glad to get off the Insulin too next. Down for 185 units in the morning to just 85 and down from 175 units to 75 at night so getting there at least. I'm looking forward to booking up to see my diabetic specialist who kept pushing the bypass at me with a 10 stone weight loss. Can't wait to see his face considering he thinks the bypass is the best thing ever. Phhh.

Have a lovely week!
xx

your all doing great x x

You are doing so well hun, love the boxing :) xxx

Keep up to the hard work. The wii exercise games are brilliant but I lack motivation to sort out the wii - doh -.-'

Well this week for me has so far been a disaster. I've been constantly hungry as I've not been taking my Liraglutide so have gone back on it again. At least it stops me feeling hungry and helps the diabetes at the same time.

bless you panda x x

Awww lovely :( Could it be around your totm? I'm hungrier than ever this week too and it's driving me barmy, all because of my totm.

bless you all i don't have the periods anymore but have the pangs for a day or so

Are you feeling any better, Bubbly? Hope the hunger stuff has passed and you're still doing well! :) Are you keeping up with the boxing? xxx

Feel fab! 4lb gone this week with eating 1600 calories again and boxing (plus yep totm so expected to put on a bit of fluid) but have had a couple of lovely days. Injured my elbow this time though lol. I do find it funny though as I literally hadn't exercised for 15 years, then threw myself into it and end up pulling muscles and straining myself but it's all good. Couple of days rest and I'm back to it. Since I've started back eating 1600 calories I don't feel hungry at all. Also found out that 1600 calories is best to lose the weight due to going into ketosis (which I want to avoid really) so I'm quite happy at that amount of calories for now.

Also found another favourite snack at 115 calories per bar - Franks Honest Snacking Snack Bars. The blueberry is sensational. Tastes just like blueberry fudge with chocolate on top. High in fibre, low on the glycaemic index and totally yummy! The oat one tastes more like a fig bar but the blueberry is definitely fudge like. Even my OH likes them and he hates those type of bars. You can get them in Asda but I bought a couple of cases at £12 a case of 20. I'm loving losing weight and enjoying my food!

Had a beautiful dinner today too. Lemon baked Salmon fillets with roasted shallots, baby beetroot and butternut squash. Only 562 calories but was loads there to eat. I'm still astonished that there are so many great tasting foods out there that you can lose weight with. Who knew I'd love it this much. :D

I'll be back to the boxing tomorrow though - had a couple of days off just because of hurting my elbow. Just a few more stone and I'll be bouncing about on the wii too! Can't wait!

well done love thats is great news x x :D

Oh hun :( Hope your elbow is feeling better now lovely. Well done on how far you've come! Well done on the 4lb loss too -e specially with TOTM arriving! :)
