Hi Kirsty, welcome. The taste in your mouth is normal. Mine was like that too but is ok now. Just drink 2 pints (minimum) of water a day and stick to the diet and you will see the weight come off. I've done this. No exercise apart from walking and I am looking more slimmer everyday.

2.25l of water is the minimum, you can have extra if you need it
sparkling water is good for cleaning the fuzz from your mouth
gold spot mouth freshning spray is good for a quick freshen up when your out and about
it does get better

Yeah drink as much as you can. I have the stinky bad tasting breath and I used mouth spray and chewing gum (but be warned it can make you hungrier and only chew for a short time ie/1 min)
