Hi Guys, Mix-a-Mousse questions

Hi, I've been on SS 9 days now, my questions are:
When can I have mix-a-mousse?
How much does it cost?
Can you recommend it?
My CDC is away for next 3 weeks, should I try to get from another CDC?

You can have MAM in your 3rd week I think.
RRP is £3 or £4.15 depending on the size.

It's quite nice to have sometimes, though I make mine with normal gelatine now because it's much cheaper.

Thanks Jen, did you just use powdered gelatine in cold shakes?

I use Supercook gelatine - half a packet per shake.

You have to dissolve it in boiling water, then I normally use cold water and ice cubes to make it up to 150 mls, then mix in my shake and put in the fridge/freezer for 15ish mins.
Only difference I find is that with MAM it's a bit more wobbly and takes less effort.

Cheers for that, I'll give Supercook a try - need to save the pennies. Just paid for 3 weeks supply as CDC going away (ouch)

Mine's expensive enough (I see my CDC fortnightly).
And she charges >£40 per week

I comfort myself with thinking how much I'd be spending on wine and chocolate, not to mention the regular food! And I'm not buying any new clothes until 2 stone more has gone.

Oh no, I meant she charges at least £40 per week (21 meals) whereas the average is £35.

At the mo it's costing me (or should I say, my parents) £82.10 for a fortnight.

Hence why I get my extras from elsewhere if I can
