how do I freeze Broccoli?

I have a load of broccoli that needs eating but we go away tomorrow.

Tonights dinner is taken care of so I thought rather than bin it to freeze it.

Do I have to do anything first like blanch it? I was thinking of just cutting up & then freezing in bags?

Ok - well I just chucked it in a pan of hot water for a few mins then dunked it afterwards back into the pan filled with nice cold water - its draining now ready to be baged & frozen
