How do I know if its working?

oh i didnt realise perfectly clear had no citric acid in it! ill have to get some :D

I buy Tesco Mexican Lime no added sugar squash and add a small amount to a 500ml bottle of plain water. Not every time but when I can't drink any more... water... it really helps. This squash is delicious.

I'll have to check out these other waters. My consultant at Go Lower only mentioned Volvic. I'll have to ask her tomorrow if I can try Perfectly Clear. Is it only strawberry and kiwi then?

I'll also ask her about the tesco lime as I love lime cordial.

Rebecca how are things going this week?

I take it I can't have citris acid then?????

I just follow what my consultant says as for me it sounds like to much effort to actually work out what I can and can't have and as Go Lower seems to be the only diet that is finally working for me I am doing as she says!

I never got to call her yesterday although hubby did tell me there was an ansaphone message from her. I will try tomorrow if I get a chance!

Some can some can't Suzy.

Thanks guys, that does not tell me one way or the other.... I am not having it at the moment, at least I don't think so unless it is in the Volvic, sugar free. I'll look at the bottle when I go downstairs.

It would be nice though to drink proper lime cordial again.

So much for me thinking tomorrow I had a free day. No school as they have an inset day so my day off will be spent with my children!

Morning, what's an inset day? I take it it's something to do with Teacher Training.

ah right, why they have to do these things in term time is beyond me.

Laura I understand what you mean but does your average mon-fri 9.5 worker get such long and frequent holidays!

My point entirely, we have 2 teachers living next door, the husband said he wouldn't have the time to do anything if he only had normal holidays.

Hi

I don't know if Inset day is training because on the yearly time table they also have other days listed as teacher training. As I said I don't know so I could be wrong. If I remember I will ask when they go back after half term.

This is all new to me as my eldest only started reception in September. In my day, (quite a lot of years ago!) I think we only had one day off each year which was occassional day, normally a few weeks before the Christmas holidays.

Anyway, I didn't get to call my consultant today as I was changing some of my sons birthday presents. He now has his first Hornby train set, gosh are they expensive!!!! I can see me adding to it by buying secondhand on ebay!

Hey guys. I haven't updated in a while so I thought I'd let you know how I was getting on. I weighed myself this time last week (having done 2 weeks of induction) and I'd lost about a stone, which I was very pleased with :) I'm not sure if I'm seeing any changes in my size yet, I don't have a tape measure - really need to get hold of one! Unfortunately though, I've had a bit of a bad week this week (I had planned to stay on induction). On Monday a friend cooked for me. I haven't told people I'm doing atkins, and the meal included a large serving of potatoes which I ate, largely out of politeness. Then on Tuesday a big group of us were going for a bar crawl. We went for some food first, and I had a mixed grill which was really nice. It came with a jacket potato on the side which I wasn't going to touch, but I ended up eating a little bit of it. Then on the bar crawl itself, I had planned that I was just going to drink vodka/diet coke all night, and not have a drink in every bar. But then I got to a bar which didn't have diet coke, so I ended up getting vodka/lemonade, then as the evening progressed, people kept buying me shots of very sugary drinks which I kept drinking! So in the end I ended up having at least on drink in every bar, including lots of very sugary ones! The rest of the week though, I went back to being good. Having said all this, I weighed myself this morning and was pleasantly surprised to find that although I hadn't lost this week, I didn't gain anything either. (Does this mean when I get to maintenance I might have a relatively high ACE?)

I'm going to carry on with induction for a little while I think, the only thing I've added is caffeine. Also, with it being pancake day on Tuesday I've kind of already accepted that I'm going to cheat, but rather than beat myself up about it, I'm just going to have my pancakes, not eat too many of them and not go too overboard by having sugary toppings, then on Wednesday I'll properly start back on induction, with no more cheating!

LOL Rebecca, we've all been there love, forget the pancakes and back on strict induction for you girl. :)

Great news on your weight loss Rebecca.

You know if you want to lose your weight you have to stay motivated and stick to your diet. There is no point in us preaching to you, I know that never worked for me in the past, but I will say if you don't stop cheating you know it won't work.

If you really mean to get back into it on Wednesday, maybe you should mention it to a few close friends so they can help keep you on track when you are socialising.

Good luck and you will get there but you have to do it for you!
