How long will a mousse last?

So the usual rule is 10-15 mins when you mix up a CD shake....what are the limits that a mousse will survive in the fridge/freezer?

I usually split my packs before i make a mousse cos i find it too much to manage, but for some random reason I woke up and made a mousse in haste.... can i leave some of it in the fridge or will it die?

I made a mousse last week as a topping on a trifle and it lasted all day.

I would never have been able to eat it all in one sitting.

I asked about the 15 minute rule and was told it was ok to leave it.
